QUOTE(samkps @ Oct 8 2014, 06:43 PM) SHL never learn, or too stingy to learn.. residents need to make a big U-turn if travel back from KL using silk highway. SHL really stingy to the extent they don't allow bank to earn interest from them. They are the only few developers has no banking facility all their projects are from internal generated fund. Some call it prudent but I view this is ignorant of the power of leveraging, without external finance no wonder SHL slow in organic growth even though has been established for few decades.

QUOTE(doomdoom @ Oct 8 2014, 09:48 AM) i am not sure....looks like construction just stop...the entry road still not put the tar yet...and the school looks empty...last i read still need about 1million plus to complete the rest of construction and also purchase the things for the school... but no any party or committee ask for fund raising... i dun think the school open can ease the traffic..as many other areas like balakong/cheras batu 11 parents will sent their kids to this school... According to yesterday Oriental Daily, SRJK © Sg Long is pending approval from TNB & Syabas, after this MPKJ's approval also required...95% projecte completed...confident to enrol students in year 2015... http://www.orientaldaily.com.my/index.php?...:4-2&Itemid=242

QUOTE(kwwong1 @ Oct 11 2014, 06:56 AM) DOE has given their approval. Seems like nothing can stop the project, except a financial crisis http://www.themalaymailonline.com/malaysia...-light-for-ekveIf given choice i rather there is no EKVE so that our source of water will not be contaminated, even though this highway may help in appreciation of Sg Long property. Hope new MB can stop them. This post has been edited by Palmwalker001: Oct 12 2014, 05:04 PM

QUOTE(greenmoon @ Oct 13 2014, 08:02 AM) KLORR have been approved? Forest reserve need to be degazette first before EKVE (also known as KLORR) to start, only MB's approval will do, so this is Azmin's call. This post has been edited by Palmwalker001: Oct 13 2014, 10:14 AM

Understand that DEIA for the EKVE was approved on 25 April 2013. Under the approval, only part of the originally proposed expressway has been approved as Phase 1, from CH0.000 to CH24000.00, 24.16 km in length, starting Sungai Long interchange to Ukay Perdana interchange. Total length of EKVE is 39.5km, total cost RM2.2 billion and has six toll plazas.

QUOTE(samkps @ Oct 13 2014, 11:48 AM) Found this from previous thread.. not sure how true though... https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=...214f&dg=featureBut if really valid, means it will finally connected to Silk highway in between twin palm and goodview heights. Good news to Kajang and Semenyih folks... But of course for convenience, we need to sacrifice our jungle... My worry is the our source of water will be polluted as EKVE cut through water catchment reserves for Klang Gate Dam and by allowing the degazettement of these forest reserves will pave way for more development to encroach upon protected areas. For convenience sake, do we really need to take this type of risk? Below are the link against EKVE http://<referral link removed>/my/news/ngo-calls-to-save-...ent-for-highway

QUOTE(danielisme @ Oct 13 2014, 01:04 PM) If coming from semenyih , the exit is before twin palm am I Right ? Not sure from Semenyih via Silk Highway can connect to EKVE or not, because interchanges mentioned are Sungai Pusu in Gombak, Sungai Long, Hulu Klang, Ukay Perdana, Lembah Jaya, Ampang and Hulu Langat.

QUOTE(samkps @ Oct 13 2014, 01:31 PM) If not connected to silk, why they need to extend it from BMC? Should stop at BMC instead.. Hulu langat is a big district... From BMC sure can connect to Silk but not so sure from Semenyih can connect to EKVE because no interchange there.

QUOTE(samkps @ Oct 13 2014, 01:40 PM) No no no I mean BMC/Sg Long people via Sg Long Interchange at EKVE can connect to Silk easily however those come from Semenyih may not be able to connect to EKVE via Silk as there are no interchange there just my two cents.

QUOTE(samkps @ Oct 13 2014, 01:57 PM) Boss, I don't where you get your info, perhaps can show the link? Why there is no sungai long interchange? The highway just stop at BMC? AZRB build the highway just let people in BMC/Sungai Long to silk highway in one-way traffic? As far as I know, this highway have the following interchange: 1.) UIAM interchange 2.) Ukay perdana interchange 3.) Ampang interchange 4.) Hulu Langat interchange 5.) Bandar Mahkota Cheras interchange 6.) Sungai Long interchange Please look at the purpose of KLORR highway - "In addition KLORR connects Kajang to Hulu Langat via the SILK Highway." http://www.latar.com.my/lm3.htmI think you are correct, I mistaken think that Bandar Mahkota Cheras interchange is Sungai Long interchange..lol.

EKVE will cut through the Selangor State Park which is of critical importance to the residents of Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as it protects 98% of the water resources for these areas. Imagine 98% of our water source is polluted!! http://selangorstatepark.blogspot.com/p/lo...on-of-park.html
