The main issue is item 1, not so much of item 2.

To make a U turn, no other bigger construction is needed, it's a cheap way out.

I think the proper solution is to build a interchange to join SILK without needing a U-turn. This will be a much more expensive solution. Funding will then be an issue.

u mean a flyover from sg long across the silk??? brows.gif

That's a U-turn along highway I suppose, not interchange lah.

Where to put in the U-turn, straight infront before the sungai long toll that near to twin palm?
*
i mean there has been an exit from sg long to silk, the problem is we haveto pay. haha

where to put u turn? i think that why gov rejected it cry.gif

Interchange definately out of reach, I only hope access road from Silk to Bukit Sg Long is allowed (from Balakong direction) , at least it ease the jam when entering Sg Long.
*
silk to sg long still ok la... i know it is very jam during peak hour, but only take us 10-15 min itu macam, but from sg long to balakong is very very terrible rclxub.gif

Oh it's like this :-

There is already a slip road exit from SILK to sg long. So this new access the initial part runs parallel with it, taking traffic from sg long (to enter SILK), but instead of going forward to join SILK, it goes back and U-turn back to join SILK.
*
from SILK highway (semenyih to sg long direction), we will exit a one way road to sg long....the design is change the one way road to two way? so we go to SILK by that road??? seem like this one is easier and cheaper laugh.gif laugh.gif

Lol... can be done, but the curvature of the road need to be altered, as something similar in twin palm, from my perception, not cheap though..

The root question still unsolved, who are going to pay?  brows.gif  brows.gif

off course govt.... nod.gif nod.gif

As long as got people pay for the construction and compensation, many ways can be attempted...

As I mention, Silk is elevated if not mistaken, any connecting road in this area must be jacked up also, just like a flyover, building cost don't think cheap...
*
I dont think the cost will exceed serdang's interchange to MEX.If Serdang boleh sg long also boleh brows.gif brows.gif

Ah ha... if the residents willing to pay, I think got chance also geh...

Construct a flyover and put toll booths there, new project for Silk, sure they will consider I presume..

As like the Serdang-MEX interchange, RM 2.20 per car woh, siapa tak mahu...  brows.gif  brows.gif
*
toll? then i would have used twin palm u turn already rclxub.gif haha

With another few thousand students from UTAR PJ and UTAR Setapak move to Sg Long next year onward, I forsee traffic jam will be big headache for residents ....Sg Long badly next additional enter-exit point to highway.

http://www.utar.edu.my/SL_development.htm

As UTAR forges ahead with growth and expansion, developments have started for a new city campus building in its Sungai Long Campus which is scheduled to be completed in mid-2015. Upon completion of this city campus building, all its campuses in the Klang Valley will be consolidated in Sungai Long. With this consolidation, the University looks forward to another decade of progress and developments in support of excellence in education.
