Yea darkie, there's progress in my benching weights, used to bench only 40kg, but can do 70kg X 10 now. I think my progress in terms of muscle size has diminished a lot because of the lack of recovery. Just like how zerg asked the question about how you are able to manage your time well, I would like to know more about your time management too. I'm a medical student in Australia, with 9-5 classes almost every weekdays. I slip in my workout sessions in the evening, usually after classes. The only problem I have is sleeping, as I can never get a nice 8 hour sleep every night. Do you think that if I continue working out without a good recovery, will my work outs go to waste???

QUOTE(emino @ May 6 2011, 04:44 PM) I think if you're worried about recovery time, you can always alternate your workout days with rest days. Therefore you should have enough rest in between workouts. Yea Im currently alternating my work out days with rest days. But sometimes the sleep is just not enough + the stress and all. I guess I have to be determined enough to solve these minor obstacles too. Thanks for the advice though But, if you're concentrating on each individual parts per workout session, the other parts should have enough rest when their turn is rotated, even when you do daily exercises. |

QUOTE(darklight79 @ May 6 2011, 10:51 PM) People underestimate the potency of rest days. They're better than any supplementation. When i tell some fellas i train a bodypart sometimes every 9-10 days they wouldn't believe. Haha this is very true. My progress is always at my peak during my semester break. |
