erm depends. isit just deadlift, romanian deadlift or straight leg dead lift?

if its just dead lift first of all the grip for the weight is too high.ur back sud b almost parallel to the floor. this shud stretch ur hams as your back does not round throughout the lift.

ive a question guys..

today i got an injury around neck area. it happened when i was doing a forced rep on my pull ups (negatives). i usually jump up the bar and slowly descend.. what happened during that rep was i jumped up,grabbed the bar and could feel i couldnt descend as slowly as my first few reps.. I kinda descended real fasst, landing was ok but that split second where I didnt have strength to descend slowly caused a sharp pain at the right side of my neck.

now it hurts whenever i twist my neck to look to the right. any advice on recovery..?

its ironic how I didnt hurt any other parts of my body..

heat? not ice? hahaha. so for muscle strains its heat but bruises n all its ice?

if ur born skinny (ectomorph), most probably ur metabolism rate is higher than other ppl who are not ectomorphs. n yes working out does increase ur metabolism rate..

u should eat 6 meals a day each meal roughly protein equivalent to 1 chicken breast..with rice or bread or some sort of carbohydrates.. n heaps of vege haha. or more if ur a big guy..

if u are BODYBUILDING probably, yeah. but if u just wana get bigger naw i noe a friend who got relatively bigger by just eating 3-4 meals a day, but his meals were huge. but i still prefer eating more meals.. doesnt stress the digestive system so much.

there is no such thing as spot reduction. u want it to be gone off from ur abs that is spot reduction,which does not exist. if ur gonna lose fat, it happens overall throughout ur body n which part ur body decides to lose is not up to you to decide.

well.. u can start with adjusting ur diet. less carboyhydrates..try to eat less n less carbs for evening meals onwards.. and doing cardio everyday. if rushing for time do HIIT on workout days. google HIIT.

lift weights.stick to a plan.. but pick the weights urself.. if u cant do more than 6 reps on a weight, thats too heavy for u. if u can do more than 15 reps on a weight, thats too light. so work around that range.. what i do is i do 15 on a light weight.. slowly increase n increase until i eventually reach a weight i can only do 10 reps.. do that for about 3-4 sets.

reps = how many times an exercise is performed
sets = do a certain amount of reps for an exercise until u stop. that is 1 set.

good luck bro. i highly recommend rippetoe's starting strength or stronglifts 5x5 or madcow's 5x5 biggrin.gif

u go to gym a few months n u want 2 blocks of pecs on ur chest ._.

dude jus do 3 chest exercises.. 1 main.. 1 incline.. another 1 for the inner line.. i do dumbbell flyes.. u just gotta find what works for u

overhead press IS a shoulder press except u go full n lift the bar over ur head. its a front shoulder exercise.. neways, 5 months already, hows the progress? increase in size and strength? im sure got haha majinity n I started from strength programmes since jan but stopped towards may.

are u still increasing weights on every big lift ie bench squat row dl? if u are n the workouts r not getting tiring yet.. go on wit wat ur doing.. until u eventually plateau.. the stronglifts programme is a full body workout.. but also a freaking taxing 1... if ur stalling too much, n still stalling after the deload n all.. then its time u switched to a body part split over 3-5 days..

EDIT: forgot to ask a question i wanted to ask haha.. anyone know what are the best exercises to get a thick back? my back seems lagging.. still flat down. any suggestions? ive read some ppl say they attribute their thick back to deadlift n bent over rows.. then again some ppl dont do this exercise yet their back is huuuge.

have u deloaded 3 times on ur bench press? slowly haha.. if u switch to body part split immediately itll b tough when choosing weights.. rep range... cuz our programme we follow only... but for hypertrophy its diff.. however i will admit i got slightly better size gains since i switched to training this way..

yup. body part split. stronglifts = full body, not split.

but if ur full body.. i suggest sticking to another full body programme as well.. perhaps HST? hypertrophy specific training. u can google that. its full body workout... 3 times a week.. but itll take abit to digest la. lol. but if ur lookin for another workout thats close to stronglifts, perhaps tat wud b good..

or u can just split up stronglifts into 3 days, diff workouts each day.. rep n weights u have to figure out wat works for u..

so gotta squeeze the back at peak contraction n hold? i havent had my spine part of the back sore yet.. lats got, upper bak kinda got but spine there don have.. i dono if i do my rows correctly..
