If you're talking about legacy lens, there's plenty of choices for you.If you're talking about native lens, apparently 45mm/f2.8 is your best option despite aperture not being big enough

Went out with friends to Putrajaya for some night photo-shooting. Compared my gf-1 with D90 and feel very lucky that I didn't get a DSLR... being a frequent traveler myself that's way too heavy for me!

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Jun 27 2010, 10:49 AM) QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 27 2010, 01:01 PM) Thanks guys!QUOTE(frequency @ Jun 27 2010, 12:51 PM) 14-150mm quite convenient, no need change lens mah...so the price is double = 2 lenses I used Adobe Lightroom for noise reduction. But it wasn't that noisy to start with since I used tripod with ISO100but I think my next upgrade is 45-200mm from panasonic. Less bulky cos not using zoom lens all the while. Nice pic samurai! the picture are clean and neat. Any software u use to reduce noise? Hopefully can get my 14-42 back asap and after all my events in July i will send the body for sensor cleaning. When they all can reunite ? I also think if you already have 14-42, it's better to get 45-200 to cover the range! My next upgrade will be 7-14mm for wide angle photography, but maybe wait till next year because of the price QUOTE(jacklsw86 @ Jun 27 2010, 01:19 PM) Do share the pics!Added on June 27, 2010, 6:08 pmJust saw this in yamiya.com.my Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G2 Digital Compact Camera (Black) with Lumix G Vario 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH Mega O.I.S. + LUMIX G VARIO 45-200mm F4.0-5.6 MEGA O.I.S. for RM3752 only Quite a good deal as the body itself costs RM2500. I'm just curious, since newer Panasonic OIS lens don't have the OIS button (the panny 14-42 for example), can it be turned off via Olympus camera menu?

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 24 2010, 12:31 PM) can anyone recommend me any of these m43 camera? How is the g2 performs? The plus is having the viewfinder, but i scare the size is same as a typical dslr, which defeat the purpose of getting m43.. It does look like DSLR design wise, but it sure is smaller. And also don't forget about the size of lens (smaller sensor compare to APSC means you get smaller zoom lens of the same effective focal length). And yeah, it has touch screen and viewfinder, so theoretically it has the best value for moneyBut of course, it doesn't look that cool (instead of looking like a rangefinder wannabe, it looks like a DSLR wannabe) At the end of the day, the choice is yours |

Picture quality aside, I had a look at NEX for the first time last week, and feel that the overall build quality of GF1 is better

Haha, I guess there's no real secret, you either need lots of ambient light or very stable hand
Btw... I notice I haven't touched my GF1 for some time so grabbed it and snapped some random pic ![]() Danbos' Dessert by samurai1337, on Flickr |
