QUOTE(Duke Red @ Apr 30 2010, 11:50 AM) You really do take things literally don't you? When he says "we" signed Johnson, he meant Rafa/the club. On the issue of defenders, let's get this straight. A defenders primary task is to what? Precisely. I am personally quite fond of Johnson but he does need to work on his defending. Anyway, I personally think that one of the problem is that either we have minimum quality player on a position or too many quality players on the same position which limits their potential and appearance. Just my personal view, in which this problem really sucks. |

Guys, think abt it.
40M + 3 players. 1. 40M will be most likely to be used to pay the debts. 2. How much is Torres getting in Liverpool per week? If those 3 come, how much will they be demanding? Given Liverpool's current state, it's not advisable to take the deal. And also, stop spreading the rumours. Ever heard of the book "law of attraction"? It happened to Alonso once, not wanting it to happen to Torres. If you all don't know abt the book, go google. |

QUOTE(azerroes @ Jun 30 2010, 12:40 PM) Roy Hodgson set to be confirmed as Liverpool's new manager I can sense a storm coming, but still, we have to walk on.• Anfield club happy to pay Fulham £2m compensation • Hodgson also touted among candidates for England job ![]() Liverpool are on the verge of naming Roy Hodgson as their new manager. The 62-year-old has been the frontrunner to replace Rafael Benítez as Liverpool manager since the Spaniard accepted a £6m severance pay-off to leave the club earlier this month. The Fulham manager also has admirers within the Football Association and has been touted among the leading candidates to succeed Fabio Capello following England's dismal failure at the World Cup. Hodgson has long coveted the England manager's job but, despite the possibility of the vacancy arising within a fortnight, he looks set to be confirmed as Liverpool's new manager possibly as early as today. Negotiations between Anfield officials and the former Internazionale coach have advanced significantly since Hodgson's return from commentary duties in South Africa, to the extent that only the specifics of his Liverpool contract have now to be resolved. Liverpool are happy to meet the £2.5m compensation fee payable to Fulham under the terms of Hodgson's 12-month rolling contract at Craven Cottage. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/ju...son-new-manager see also from soccernet http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id...england&cc=4716 |

Look on the bright side guys, we are now stable with a Manager, and Jovanovic has confirmed his contract with LFC. A double good news for the team!
We should stop the bashing and let the team's performance decide whether our opinions are justifiable. Excited with the transfer market now. Roy, surprise me will ya! on the bright side. |

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Jul 6 2010, 12:00 PM) Appreciate it if you read this and understand their purpose before passing judgement so quickly: http://lsu.viga.co.uk/about.asp http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=259045.0 QUOTE(Duke Red @ Jul 6 2010, 12:19 PM) QUOTE(koolspyda @ Jul 6 2010, 12:38 PM) quite right. I'm surprised to see that so many Kopites actually support this kinda campaign. fans got to know why such actions are need. not continuing to offer feeble excuses, we were or in the course to assemble a good squad (only crippled by lack of depth when our starting 11 got injured (a lot). as the result, & as everyone warned; we fumbled badly last season. The bad infighting up there is welll documented. as the result rafa got the boot, a average manager is installed, well by LFc credentials standards, I highly doubt roy hodgson will walk into to big 3 clubs in their lifetime, bar spurs. Not to take anything away to roy, he is, at the moment, a interim but right manager, given the mess we are in. I would definitely not wear this kinda shirt why? 1. This Viga brand is clearly trying to make a profit here. 2. Since the club is already in deep shit financially, boycotting official merchandise by the fans is the last thing the club needs. 3. It will be demotivating to see so many different voices from different camps of supporters. 4. The words used are insulting and will eventually fire back on ourselves. (MU ran a campaign of their own, but what's the result?) QUOTE(azrulkamal240 @ Jul 6 2010, 10:26 PM) If he is to make the right decision, Liverpool will be one of the last choices. |

QUOTE(Monstar @ Jul 7 2010, 09:21 AM) 1) Profit goes to SOS and Hillsborough. 1. I went through their sales website but there were nothing written about "profit goes to SOS and Hillsborough" kinda thingy. Care to enlighten me? 2) The idea is to force the owners to sell. Owners are in it for the money. Deny them their sole motivation to stay in the game and they would be gone. 3) There are no different voices. No one wants the Americans. Join SOS. Do your part in ridding the the owners 4) How are the words used insulting? Our standards are corrupted. Purslow is a snake that uses the media to manipulate the fans. Lies are being thrown into the fans face and the intelligence of fans insulted. PM me your phone number if you are in KL. I'll gladly buy you a cup of tea and try to help you see where things are coming from from my POV. STOP.THINK.FIGHT! 2. How sure are you? MU fans did a campaign of their own, how successful are they? 3. Even if there are no different voices, how likely G&H will be moved by this? 4. Firstly, it is insulting and being demotivating to the new sponsor, and the double snakes i think are referring to the owners. P/S: For those outside Britain, wearing this shirt is plain stupid. At least from my POV. No offense. |

QUOTE(ik3da @ Jul 7 2010, 11:07 AM) Wouldn't mind doing my part in helping out but honestly, the first thing that comes to my mind when I saw the "Standards Corrupted" - I would just think that we are boycotting Standard Chartered instead. lol... correct. ppl come and go. I dun really fancy benayoun for his inconsistency anyway. exactly! and we are giving chance for others to gain profits from this. Added on July 7, 2010, 11:15 am What's with the rage and name calling? People come, people go - as much as I would hope Yossi not to leave but since he signed and make up his mind, we might as well leave it be. Chill out a bit my 2cents. Rather than name calling, i'm looking forward to those joining us instead. |
