Oh... what do you think when comparing Desire and Milestone?

I can't quite understand what does it means by support flash natively?

I heard that due to the good processor of Desire, it will have weaker battery life compare to Legend/Milestone... and as I am not a very hardcore user (running 4 ~ 5 app at the same time), I would rather get something that can last me longer...

Support natively, means it comes with the phone lol~
No need install 3rd pt apps, do this and that~
Desire has very good 1 ghz proc..
Battery is similar and better than iphone LOL!

Bigger screen leads to higher electricity output. AMOLED main advantage is its light saving compared to TFT or LED but the backlight is not as good as the other two. Its not saying AMOLED is superior although its the better technology than TFT. 16M color means both looks good and capacitive touch is the best the market can offer at the moment.

For me, both Milestone and Legend is still considered as the high end model. Perhaps soon after desire and what-not, it'll degrade to mid-tier model. But know this, android phones have the ability to update its firmware and its lacking function. So if you claim Desire is the better choice simply because its flash player is superior, that's where you're wrong. Once Android 2.1 (FroYo) comes out, it might also come with an update of a working Flash player for all android phones, including Legend and Milestone.

The only thing that attract me into Droid is the big screen and high resolution, i think that's gonna help me a lot when I do surfing...

Personally I prefer the body and design of legend...

sigh... hard to choose

As I recall, TS is comparing Milestone and Legend. If you wanna put in Desire into the fray for its obvious superiority, why don't we all recommend Samsung Omnia II and SE Xperia X10 into the fray as well? LOL~

I already answered to his Q, and since budget is not a problem, then Desire can be brought into play~
In terms of Legend vs Droid, Droid would be the better one out there~
Droid has Flash player too Btw~

Ya... I think desire is just a better phone compare to Milestone and Legend, but so is its price and it's arriving so late...

But again if comparing Desire against Samsung I9000 Galaxy S (Which have to wait even longer...) I am more on to Samsung I9000...

Added on April 19, 2010, 4:22 pmAnd yup, budget doesn't really play a very big role in this, although I wish to get what that suit me most with the least money...

As far as I know, Digi has a Smart Plan package that bundles together with HTC Legend that cost only $999 for a 24 month plan. I'm clueless so far on any promotion sales of Milestone OR Desire.

What's the price difference between Milestone and Legend?

Specs wise, Milestone is better than Legend.
Furthermore, Motorola has better support. You will get up-to-date firmware whenever there's a new version released.

If it does, I don't have any problem recommending Desire as well. The thing is, for a touchscreen that cost a bomb, money is not only the issue....warranty is.

iirc, HTC Legend does have GPU(i think is integrated), it's AMD z430. According to 1 of the benchmark i saw yesterda.something like 22million triangle per sec(i dont know much about this). but i think desire is the 1 doesnt have GPU coz the review i saw, legend's GPU score 10 times higher than desire...

Legend can load facebook game at least country story lulz
but it lags like zzzzz, i can never let it finish loading the game

both devices support flash but how good it runs, that's another story
one more thing, milestone boatloader is locked, you probably can't dump in custom roms in it, not 100% confirm about this thou

The Desire uses Snapdragon processor which DOES have the AMD z430 core called Adreno 200 but its an outdated core and cannot compare with PowerVR SGX 535 on iPhone 3GS. Most Qualcomm processor uses the same AMD z430. The reason why Legend's GPU performance is higher can be attributed to a few things:

1. Either Desire's ROM has not been optimized
2. HTC pulling another TyTN II by not issuing drivers for it

If both the price is almost the same, why do people still choose Legend?
Milestone is currently the best qwerty Android device in the market.
