iirc, HTC Legend does have GPU(i think is integrated), it's AMD z430. According to 1 of the benchmark i saw yesterda.something like 22million triangle per sec(i dont know much about this). but i think desire is the 1 doesnt have GPU coz the review i saw, legend's GPU score 10 times higher than desire...

The Desire uses Snapdragon processor which DOES have the AMD z430 core called Adreno 200 but its an outdated core and cannot compare with PowerVR SGX 535 on iPhone 3GS. Most Qualcomm processor uses the same AMD z430. The reason why Legend's GPU performance is higher can be attributed to a few things:

1. Either Desire's ROM has not been optimized
2. HTC pulling another TyTN II by not issuing drivers for it

Yes, true. Milestone is bigger and heavier, that's all i can think of.

If you ain't playing games and prefer more on internet content, browsing... the Legend is more than capable to do the job. The point is... you need as much RAM as possible. 384MB or more = win. I've tried Milestone's 256MB RAM. Barely made it...

It will be pointless to buy either phone or any Android phone if you do not consider a data plan apart from voice.

Yeah agreed. A lot of modern phones are 'connected' now especially like iPhone, Android phones, BB-phones. Yes you can always use WIFI but with wireless data you'll definitely love the convenience while on the go. Also these phones draws information from the internet as they happen, so if you're a internet addict but want some life outside your room... this is it.

Also a lot of people likes the idea of being able to tether your phone while on the go. Some people value mobile broadband at a low price and this makes a lot of sense for them.
