QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Apr 12 2005, 02:48 AM) Those heatspreader, i wonder if any of u guys not going to use it. Its so tempting to peel it off, considering many XS forumers already benefited from the reduce temp. after u bro dunt wanna risk such a proc to gain few mhz or 100mhz. ihs if im not mistaken.

QUOTE(De_Cruelz @ Apr 12 2005, 08:07 PM) In WinXP I believe your system is under more load compared to BIOS. Also, software or onboard sensors aren't always accurate and is only best measured using a DMM Btw, here's a sneak peak for you fellas! Only preliminary results without any stability testing yet. 260FSB 1:1 at 3.5Vdimm. This is the exact same pair I used when I was using my LPB NF2 and wouldn't even prime stable at 230FSB nicely done there i guess the sweetnes of waiting really worth it right? show some stability then

QUOTE(fr!tzz @ Apr 15 2005, 02:53 PM) For CBBID, not kacang puteh to reach 250HTT, mine need to pump vcore as early as 240HTT. (x9 multiplier) based on my experience on two CBBID 250 is easily. but more than that take a lot of guts.

QUOTE(PCcrazy @ Apr 17 2005, 10:32 PM) yeah...1:1 is every ocers dream.. TCCD might do it, but it might not beat the tight timing even though its running at 300htt, this is due to loose timing on TCCD's..ive read somewhere on XS comparisons between the OCZ VX at 260htt 2-2-2-6 beats the TCCD 300htt running at loose timing.. but as always TCCD is good for 24/7 systems becos of lower vdimm.. base on what u saying i'm looking at our local forumers in Super Pi ranking. Evogenix and Sniper on the roof. both of them have almost the exact same setup but differ in type of ram. sniper on TCCD and Evo on UTT. Right now tight timing is leading the way on AMD setup. So its a good example for all the AMD64 user either going for TCCD or UTT.

QUOTE(fr!tzz @ Apr 19 2005, 12:08 AM) AMD64 3000+ s939 Wincester core ***CBBFD 0442SPMW***MSI Neo2 Platinum NF3 =bios 1.37mod= Vcore 1.4v stock heatsink fanMushkin 2x256 PC3200 LII BH5 running 133/200 divider HTT setting : 289 x 9 2600MhzLDT multiplier at 3x Vcore = Startup (default) AGP voltage = 1.5v Stable so far after Prime 3 hours and still going while taking this screenshot. Highest load temp is 54C in non-air con room during nighttime. Prime is done at night. However, i notice an trend with stock hsf, once temp >56C prime will produce error. I dun have good heatsink to push it higher. thats totally a very good result indeed... hope i can get proc like yours... ur so lucky to have that stepping and batch proc. thats why i'm looking forward for Venice since i CANT get the proc batch like yours. QUOTE(fr!tzz @ Apr 19 2005, 03:13 AM) Borrowed this cpu from my fren. Since he not into overclock, basically running default 1.8Ghz only, pretty wasted. So i borrow it and try clock. Who knows can push all da way to 2.6g and still prime stable. Unfortunately he duwan sell to me. thats totally a GEM, u should try offering him at high price. then tell him that other proc is still good for stock clock running. Summore tell him that newer proc got better mem controller than old one like CBBID 05XX upwards.

@antonio i think with ur rig can push exactly at 250fsb 1:1 2.5-3-3-7. i done that with my DTD43 vdimm at 2.8v. but my proc can run at 1.45vcore at that setting. thats my 24/7 setting.

QUOTE(jslut @ Apr 24 2005, 10:20 PM) to 754 users, can somebody help me and lend a spare proc?? i need to test whether my proc is the one giving me problems or something else woot wooot look like someday killed his proc. whats the problem do share with us... maybe we can tell u what the prob. if the proc didnt stable at any clock look like the mem controller is dead. but dont look at that side... still many things to consider... mobo, psu? or like me killing my KVR oledi.
