Hi all, I would like to share my experience on the warranty claim for my unlocked and rooted Nexus One. My phone's earpiece was broken which nothing can't hear  from a call. But, it works fine if I plugged in a earphone/turn on the loud speaker. I contacted the Nexus One help support and was told that warranty claim for Nexus One is not available here. Thus, I'll need to send my phone to them in Singapore.

I then sent the phone to a friend in Singapore and asked HTC to collect it. They said they need 3-5 working days on the checking/repair. A few days later I received a call from them asking if I flashed an illegal version of the operating system because the bootscreen looks different. Though, they said the warranty is still valid because that is the earpiece problem not the board. They also warned that if it's something wrong with the board next time, I'll need to pay for the repair.

In total, they spent ~4 working days on my phone. They collected my phone on Tuesday and my friend got it back on the next Tuesday. It was an holiday in Singapore on Monday.

HTC Singapore local hotline: 18002387788 (00886266391147, if you are calling from Malaysia)

Hm sounds like at least can claim warranty which is good but have to send the phone to singapore yourself? Cant we send to htc malaysia then get back from them instead?

Added on August 22, 2010, 10:02 amAnyone tried slideme.org before? Its another market place, the interface is quite good (they have an android market-like application called SAM).

Hi guys, do check out my latest android app called Go Dutch!, you can use it to calculate how much your portion is when you go out and have breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. It allows you to calculate how much to pay just for your portion (with or without taxes), or you can choose to split the bill equally among X number of persons. For screenshots and more info, go here:

Cyberkewl, Why your apps not available in Android market?  BTW, can make money with the apps or nor? smile.gif
*
No money to put up on market, need USD $ 25 to put them up plus I don't even have a credit card! Haha..anyway so far I've only put up ads on my Go Dutch! app, if you like it, do click on the ads (needs internet access to see the ads) from time to time. Thanks a lot!

AND:

I've released two more android applications and I believe you will find them useful (i certainly did, that's why I developed them):

Wifi Toggler - http://slideme.org/application/wifi-toggler
Screen On Toggler - https://slideme.org/application/screen-toggler

Quick Overview: basically they're replacement for your search button when you long press it, used to quickly toggle your wifi on or off OR screen timeout to never timeout (always on) or restore screen timeout setting.

Enjoy smile.gif

Do check out my other android apps:

My n1 with 3g works great too..at least google or HTC is not arrogant like apple/steve jobs to claim that a bumper would "solve" the antenna problem.

my class 4 card writes at 3mb, reads at 13mb..doesnt really matter because you're reading most of the time rather than writing.

I think most important still the read speed since writing is not done that often.

How accurate is this software ?? It gives a rating of Class 2 only to my Team Class 6 card and Sandisk  Class 6 card.
Both cards perform very well, one I used on my Nexus and the other on my HD2. Have never any issues with it till now.
The results were disappointing, macam I sudah tipu maybe my purchases are not original cards ???
*
benny it is possible that they're counterfeit ones because there are indeed a LOT of fake cards out there. if not mistaken there's a way to tell for sandisk ones, if i recall correctly there is a site for sandisk (official one) that allows you to key in some serial number at the back of the box of the SD card to check if it is real or counterfeit. Do check it out.

Hi guys, I've just created my first android widget to learn more about widget development, anyways this widget is called "Show IP Widget". What it does is basically shows your internal & external IP address, you can check it out with a screenshot of how it looks like here:

For those on froyo and want to have a direct shortcut to the mobile settings page to enable/disable data and also switch from 2g->3g and vice versa, you can use launcherpro and create activities and select Dialer -> Network Settings. That is the actual activity shortcut to the mobile settings. I've been looking everywhere for this and apparently the name isn't so subtle. Hope this helps someone smile.gif
