Had a great tea outing today with auhckw today in Kepung. Tried many nice teas in fact ended buying 2 cakes of the above.
Now planing to keep it for 1year before drinking it. |

These are the pictures of my Pu-Er tea storage. Very basic way of keeping it. I intend to allow air circulation that is why I un-box them and allow them to breath.
The Pu I bought from the Expo (ripe) ![]() The Pu I bought today with auhckw (raw) ![]() ![]() BTW I check my box cover and my both had 250g printed on it. This was given to me by a friend. He has kept it for more than a year. Its raw Pu-Er I think. Taste smooth but still has a little greenish flavor. Not bitter at all.

Kinda reddish brown colour. ![]() The tea leaves after the 1st brew which is still quite green ![]() Taste wise this tea is ok but I sure did get hungry fast drinking it. Just got some new supply direct from Taiwan (Thanks to my boss). I got 3 packs of I think OoLong but today I only decide to open the 1st pack to taste. It was superb, the thing about tea bought direct from Taiwan is the taste is so much better than what you could buy here. Well just sharing with you guys.

I have drank last season's tea of this brand so I was very anxious to try this year's. ![]() ![]() A look at the tea leaves ![]() The second brew. The first was so light in colour that on photo it looked like water. So far the taste is sweet and good. It was so fragrant the the whole living hall smelled of Oo Long ![]() The tea leaves 2nd brew. Not fully open yet but notice how green and fresh it is! In conclusion I think its similar to last year in terms of taste, aroma and the no of times I could brew it (total of 10 brews before it goes flat). Well that is what I have to share for today. BTW auhckw please keep up the daily posts. How bout more on teapots? |

I heard from a senior the other day that if the beng (raw Pu-Er) is press too compact (machine press oppose to hand press), leaving very little air inside, it will not age very well. Something to do with the tea's (or beng's) ability to breath.
Can someone verify this, since most of us are buying raw Pu-Er to keep to mature the flavor. |
