2007 Xia Guan Kai Men Hong (open Door Red) Raw - Has the typical Xiagun smoky signature. Good tea but normal kind of taste. Nothing fancy. The box is nice though

This was given to me by a friend. He has kept it for more than a year. Its raw Pu-Er I think. Taste smooth but still has a little greenish flavor. Not bitter at all.
The box/packing Front ![]() Back ![]() The tea brick inside the box ![]() The tea 1st brew. Kinda reddish brown colour. ![]() The tea leaves after the 1st brew which is still quite green ![]() Taste wise this tea is ok but I sure did get hungry fast drinking it. BTW can anyone tell me if this is a good tea or not? or how long more I should keep it for it to improve. This post has been edited by slimfox: Jul 13 2011, 10:09 PM |

F&B expo at PWTC. There are Taiwan booth selling Oolong and China booth selling Puer. Worth a go since free entrance and pretty girl serving tea. Expo until tomorrow 5pm.

2003 Menghai Yiwu Raw - Astringency cum slight bitter. That what I felt from infusion 1 to 5. The guy took the loose broken pieces from the beeng, which we speculate is the reason for such taste. Total disappointment.

2004 Menghai Yiwu Raw - So 2003 was a disappointment, therefore we tried the 2004 version instead. Using the same gram, this taste lighter and has the slight similarity to the 2002 Wild Mengku I tried recently (few post before). I would prefer 2004 over 2003.

QUOTE(auhckw @ Jul 14 2011, 09:42 PM) Nope. wa seem like all they said. So who correct. If later ppl use UV as standard then if that label don't have maybe troublesome. But if buy for drink cool! Speaking of UV, they said if use those small UV device, it may not be bright enough to show the changes. Then they say not all stickers will respond to UV device either... hmmm |
