Forgot to mention that, another Dayi item in tea Expo promotion, 2kg brick (RM288), that one sticker does response to the ultraviolet scan....so, no worry.

Again, fake Dayi doesn't means fake tea, and there are also some examples that after aging, fake tea tasted better than right tea, unless you're buying for investment, then it's risky.

Figured out the difference.... seems like 2006-03 is the very first time it was released in box. After that the word 250g is printed on it. The y2007 box looks exactly like the 2006-06 except the date.

If you are actually going to consume the tea yourself then I'm very sure you would have tasted it first before buying. The issue of it being fakes only arises if you are only investing and hoping for a good return, fakes from what I know will have no value.

BTW guys if its fake you think there will be some unsafe chemicals present (if yes then its not safe to drink at all!!)

Added on July 12, 2011, 12:26 amI just want to share to you guys some of my tea collection. This packet of Ti Kuen Yin was given to my by my friend who brought it from Taiwan (being a banana only thing I can say is the brand is 1725), I saw a booth selling this too in the tea expo (but I forgot to take the business card, if anyone remembers please pass the contact to me cause I want to get a few more packets).

This tea is very light and fragrant. Its still has some of the greenish smell especially during the first three brews.

Just sharing.

2011 Dayi Early Spring - this is extremely strong. not smoky. bitter of all bitterness. Find it very hard to swallow on the 3rd brew onwards. The good bitter aftertaste lasted very long. This is not for the weak taster smile.gif

2003 Silver Dayi Raw - Taste was quite good from 1st to 4th brew as it was not strong then, but from 5th brew onwards it gets a bit tough to drink. Quite kick. This used to be very smoky when new, but the smokiness has now gone down.

2007 – Duo Te Li 5350 – Raw Liu Bao – 500g Brick - Bought 4. Plan to buy another 4 the next trip.

Some info from:
http://82.100.62.113/chawang/index.php/200...zhuan-500g.html

5350 : the first number "5" means using tea harvested in 2005 as material

Unusual and rare Sheng Liubao brick tea. The processing method is similar to Raw (Sheng) Pu-erh. Sun-dried maocha and natural aging process without "wo dui" fermentation. Chosen better material than common Liubao Shu brick tea, pressed to brick and stored two years in factory. 2007 is the packing date. Used the same quality tea inside and outside, a very good selection of Liubao tea!

I bought 1 box of this before the liubao craze. I can still remember cost me RM1K. Not sure the price now up or down. Have not taste it since 2 years ago. There is also 'ripe' version in brown box and another premium ripe version in colourful box. I did not buy both since it taste like puerh.. tongue.gif

Gone through Aging Green Puerh - this is what it says in chinese on the large urn containing the loose pu. Taste is wet woody. I coudn't appreaciate it. Too wet for my preference.
