Did you choose the Thrunite T1 because the 18350 battery gives longer runtime compared to the 16430?  hmm.gif

That's one advantage although the slightly bulkier size. Another thing is cheaper and more powerful compare to my old problematic Olight S1 Baton.
No brainier for me as a replacement EDC light. wub.gif

Why was your S1 problematic?  hmm.gif

So far the only problem I encountered with all of my Olights is with my S1A.
Once you drop it (waist height), it creates a dent on the button top of the protected 14500.
Then can't use the battery unless remove the PCB and button top altogether.  doh.gif
Dent is like something like below pic.

My problem is I can only use the lowest setting, once I ramp up the brighest it will completely shutdown. I thought was the battery issue and got a new battery but still the same issue.

olights have serial numbers and afaik, if it came from gadgetworld2u, they will honour the warranty even without the receipt so long as the light came from their stock (they keep records). excellent customer service, i must say. had an issue with one of my lights and they replaced the defective unit, no questions asked  thumbsup.gif

Probably will check it out. Now I dunno where I put the old olight lights. While searching I dug out some of my older collection of lights.
Some I have been keeping for years and some are newer. Use to always chasing for higher lumens. blush.gif

Now I go for practical and EDC. Captain Marvel also want one! thumbsup.gif

whoa... i spot a tn 40 in the mix  flex.gif

yeah, guess we've all been there... higher lumens, furthest throw etc etc etc. but end of day, for practical considerations, for me it boils down to price/hours of use  sweat.gif

query: do you guys take the battery out if not used for a long time (say 3 months or so?). i guess the modern lights have zero discharge on standby, but just curious...

p.s. mr-2, do note that olight's BATTERY warranty is only for 1 year so that's something to consider.

I take out the battery and leave it 50% charge or more. My experience with my battery at any 100% battery or fully charge will likely result in blot or leakage if left unattended for sometime. Also do not let your battery over discharge. Both will do no good. If I want to use, I charge it full and go on my Mission. However the battery bloating is more common on my remote control device like car and drone.

Nice little lights you have there.
They seem to complement one another.

For your E14, is it cool white or neutral white?
I joined the BLF groupbuy for these 2 lights combo and for the E14, I opted for the 4000K neutral white tint.
As this will be my first Samsung LED, I'm not sure what to expect of their tint, as my neutral white tints light are mainly Nichias 219B, 219C, XPL-HI and SST-40 emitters.

I just received a Jetbeam RRT03 with Nichia 219C 4000K and hopefully I can compare the tint of the Samsung and Nichia when the BLF combo arrived.

Cool light EDC light you have and congrat to your groupbuy. thumbup.gif

I got the 6500k cool white version as there is no more stock for me to test also on the neutral white.

I compare the tint to both my S1A baton and S1 baton, S1A is rather close E14 cool white. But compare the E14 to the S1 baton (Cree XM-L2 LED - TIR optic), S1 has slightly more neutral tint although both is CW.

My next light purchase I hope to get the Anduril UI light from Lumintop. Looking forward probably next month to order either the FW21 or FW4A now. smile.gif
