Yep I'm selling it hehe the tn4a is better throw than the jatbeam because it using XPL HI and is smaller too
*
this guy im sure some familiar with, tested lots of 4xaa lights and say sra40 out-throws it by 28m.
of cos in real life the diff is abit negligible tongue.gif

those for personal collection ok la to sell better buy direct man  rclxms.gif
bro the one in that review is TN4A (26000++cd) only the one im selling is TN4A XP-L HI the intensity is a lot higher (52000++ cd) is huge diff.
XP-L HI is a factory de-dome version for short. more throw, more power, more intensity!! (practical or not thats a whole different topic haha)
thumbup.gif

ya but even so, but one guy on amazon said the tn4a HI still doesnt out-throw the sra40.
guess all to do with projector design, as i guess the tn4a is built for more spill?
or maybe one night u do gathering and test all tongue.gif

Guys any comment on imalent dn35?  The addiction getting worst. Kept thinking about it.
*
looks good, but reading the specs...once it hits 50c it drops off after 30secs to 900L.
and at both its turbo and high modes for sure will reach 50c.
for the price and apparently their non-existent customer service...i wouldnt bother.
better just save ur money and get one of those 900-1000L models in the market.

I dont know why, maybe because its within my budget RM280+-. But the nitcore need to buy own battery, which might add more cost. Can u recommend me other model?
*
first u need to decide what batts u prefer, size, output, etc.
from those 2 i guess u want high output using 18650...
i prefer those that use AA or AAA...

Ya i prefer can charge on the go..
*
thats small matter really.
cos if ur outside u can't charge anyway... so better to have long runtimes or batts that u can just go into 7-11 and buy etc.
of cos ur usage matters...

anyway, for me... i have single AAA ones for keychain...Olight i3e, fenix LD01... and odd one out nitecore tip 360 lumen.
then couple of single AA monsters in nitecore EA11 and zebralight SC52W which i would carry either one if go outstation...those 2 i use 14500 in them just for the extra output...
and a 4xAA in jetbeam sra40 just for fun.

Can bring onboard Airasia domestic flights? [attachmentid=8980116]

Coz read this
Note: High intensity diving lamps and normal portable diving lamps i.e. torch lights , which contains rechargeable lead acid batteries, spillable or non-spillable will not be accepted on board AirAsia aircraft as check-in nor as hand baggage as it falls under Dangerous Goods Regulation.

key words - lead acid.
small ones we use are not lead acid.

hmm...i've tried the i3s-cu and on high it is actually dimmer than i3e due to the cu being quite floody...
so anyway, i have a couple of i3e...1 normal and 1 cu...both now hardly get used as i have a nitecore tip v2 on my keychain.

as for normal AA...i only have a zebralight sc52w and nitecore ea41...i use the ea41 more...but with a 14500 even tho it can use AA.

i3e is plenty bright already for keychain use anyway...just any normal AAA will do...but better buy rechargeables since alkalines can leak.

it may "appear so" due to i3e is using a TIR optics while i3s-cu is using a shallow reflector, tested lumen at turned-on shows that i3s-cu is at least twice as bright as the i3e,
user posted image
measured using Lithium L92 AAA battery, i3s-cu hotspot is bigger than i3e with quite a fair bit of side spills too...  smile.gif
edited: estimated lumens reading updated.

ya well lumens is one thing... real life is something else... especially when u want to see like 3-5m in front of u.

yup, you are right! haha... lumen vs lux, no argument there.  biggrin.gif
for me, a balance of flood and throw is most useful in EDC (one of the reason I carry both E05 and i3e in the same keychain-group  sweat.gif ).
another criteria that I always look at is the runtime vs brightness (another reason why I carry i3e instead of the i3s-cu).

there are so many choices now, even the budget range is good enough for daily use, not to mention there are many with convenient built-in rechargeable battery too.

fwiw, the i3s-cu is a little picky about the battery used. normal alky will likely not able to deliver that high mode for more than a minute and spend most of it's "high" mode close to 50% of its claimed brightness. Even when it's powered by NiMH or Lithium primary, there is a step-down after 3 minutes, it's one of the reason why when compares with i3e side-by-side, it may appears the i3e is just brighter. At turn on, both i3s-cu and i3e are good for seeing anything within 15-20 meters (with minimal light pollution) with i3s-cu leading the advantage in peripheral vision, but after a while (like 2-3 minutes), when i3s-cu drops its brightness, i3e will be seen as having better reach than the i3s-cu, thanks to the beauty of i3e TIR optics.  thumbsup.gif

for olight, i only got 2 i3e...alu and cu...both also hardly used now...both also quite worn out with nice patina tongue.gif
for batts i just use the ikea ladda 900mah ones...rm39.90 for 4.

I plan to buy nitecore tm06, any comment on this flashlight. The problem with nitecore is their rechargerable battery is really expensive.
*
well...imo for all that power, its throw is quite pathetic due no thanks to its small reflectors.
also no one said u have to strictly use nitecore batteries...u can use any brand as long as compatible.
but in my experience, the nitecore batteries do last longer and are more stable.

Thanks guys.!

So any recomend flashlight for 2018?

Notice Fenix TK75 2018 not bad, 5000 lumen. Only the price is holding me back. XD
*
obviously depends what u want.
lumens isnt everything.
there are cheaper options with lower lumens from nitecore and olight that will outthrow tk75.

ya, ask urself what u need it for.
as there are a few lights close to or around 1000 lumens.
all depends if u want compact...longer...wider etc...what kind of batteries it uses...
more for throw or flood...etc.
the bigger it is also usually the more runtime it has due to obviously more battery power.

i may be tempted if it gets cheap enough tho.

Hi guys, I'm looking for penlight for mechanics inspection purpose

Any good recommendation ?

Single to tri mode will be preferred. Also single or duo AAA batt will be preferred

Was looking on thrunite ti4t but I dun like the fact that it will start in Firefly mode.
*
apart from the mentioned lumintop...theres also the fenix LD02 which starts on medium.
for single mode, for me its none other than the olight i3e...and theres also the thrunite t01...but these 2 are twist to start.

anyway, for inspection purposes...most of these have reversible clips so u can hook it to a cap.
