I bought and play a bit, using Windows 64bit.

It crashes upon exit.

Starting and getting into the game no issue so far.

Try playing around with the configuration. There is a compatible mode, you can try that.

I use Vista 64 and I have a Win98 virtual machine (via VirtualPC) for very old games/DOS ones (some would not even work on XP for example)

Works very well.

As Grif said, you could just use a WinXP Virtual Machine, just need to be careful about the overhead in resource needed to run a Virtual image if it's a resource-hungry game.

So far, only games not working in my Windows 7 64bit:

1. Starcraft 2 Beta (just jerky animations and needing to manually close the game upon exiting)
2. Quake 2
3. Brothers in Arm's Hell Highway

The rest of my games work.

Windows XP VM is not really for games, if I remember correctly, DirectX isn't emulate in that.

Dual boot is better, and cheaper. Not that I have ever dual booted two Windows, I dual boot Window with a Linux distro.

I know everyone ruled out Lead & Gold out because of no dedi servers support, but Fatshark has said they are testing dedis now and very soon to be released. I am guessing they will put up a free weekend for it once the dedis are up so keep your hopes up if there're still ppl out there wanting to try Wild West multiplayer. And to top it off, a 20% discount, yes?!

Well, Red Dead Redemption is going to be out soon, it might eventually come to the PC like GTAIV did. Let's wait and see.

How to use debit card to purchase from US store? Can I do it like this? hmm.gif

1) Select game in http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us and put it as gift for my main account.
2) Alter the billing address to a fake US address

FYI, I will just put enough money in the account to do the transaction. If kena ban also wont be so hurt tongue.gif

Nope since they will detect your computer is not in US.

You would need to use a proxy for that to work

junk0460,
real billing address, or else credit card company (our local bank) cannot approve.

Country = United States
State = AL (first option in the drop down list)

As far as I know billing address has little to do with credit card transactions.

Card number, security number, expiration date and the name on it are the only things important.

The country thing is only because of Steam IP check, otherwise bank do not care about that either.

As for free proxy, since I am now in china and due to the stupid censor I looked around for lots of free proxies, most of them sucks or are not safe enough for me to consider sending my credit card details on.

Personally I ended up "using" my company's VPN...
