yes, foot pegs & seat is adjustable lah dude! I've adjusted it for my liking!
Adjust rear shock to get ur right seat height with the tool provided. Yes, insurance + r/tax is definitely more expensive than kapchai due to the market price insured. |

ok guys, i have come this far & kinda firm to get a Kawi 250R. of coz i have taken many of your advice to get a better & powerful bike, but CC is not what im after. leisure riding & economic are my only concern. so a 250 is the winner, hands down ^^
i have been busy searching in the web & found several adjustable foot pegs & custom made seats for 250R. there are plenty of after market parts in the web (especially ebay US), now all i need is few more grand for moding the bike current buying list: slip on muffler slider bar adjustable gear lever (if long distance ride is frequent) adjustable foot pegs (if long distance ride is frequent) undertail/eliminator but first thing first, i gotta settle the busy work which will probably last until june or so. then i will get 250R out of the shop. hehe Added on April 19, 2010, 9:49 pmabout the kawi 250R engine spec, those in US are carburetors & theres also fuel injection for europe & thai... but why not malaysia? kawasaki msia <<click on the "SPECS" tab is that 2008 outdated model? or the 2010 ones are fuel injection? In Malaysia they still selling carb version... i think they won't bring in EFI model to Msia..dunno why...Limited Edition for 2010 also not selling here For more info, u should join Ninja250r Msia forum HERE U can have lots of info's in there...and also a lot of aftemarket parts they got from Indon..quite cheap..looking forward to see u with ur bike |

thx bro, kawi 250R is the only one that gives the biggest band out of my limited budget.
carbs are ok too, but still i prefer the injecton x_x thats a very good link, gotta dig into it right away. im quite surprised that indon now produce so many 250R parts especially for appearance mod. m'sia is sure lacking comparing to them :/ |

everyone likes the bigger (or the biggest) bike, im no exception. As in reality, everyone dreamed to drive a bmw, if not a ferrari, but most of us ended up with a persona or myvi.
for now im getting a practical bike based on my financial capability & current needs, im not buying a fancy litre bike for track racing, showing off or drawing chicks attention. trust me, i know what im doing. thx for the advice tho. |

QUOTE(theanswer @ Apr 19 2010, 11:12 PM) its a powerful 250 bike compared to the latest 250r. but 250 with 4 cylinders and 16valve..the parts is too small thus leading to reliability issue. what issues? no issues over here. the problem does not come from the bike, i assure you. it's always the owner. maintenance is the main thing here. every bike treat like whore oso won last long. treat it like your youngest child, no prob will come meh! |

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! maintenance is the main thing here. every bike treat like whore oso won last long. treat it like your youngest child, no prob will come meh! I have had my ZXR250 for more than 2 years now, it rides like a dream, hehe... I only let my one trusted SBK mechanic maintain it, quality advice, quality oils & lubricants + parts, etc... It is indeed more powerful than the 250r (and sounds much much better too!) but the 250r is NEW and has a wide appeal due to more modern & practical approach to its design. Yamato - given your situation, it looks like you will not go wrong with the 250r. But I have a feeling you might 'outgrow' the bike in just a few short months (if not weeks), many do, and end up selling their 250r for a bigger bike. You might really want to consider forking out a little more $$ and go for the ER6f (or ER6n), it equally as practical & behaves very much like the 250r, except that it is more powerful & heavier, & bigger. They all run on similiar engine configurations - liquid colled DOHC parallel twin, and thus sound the same... Give it some further thinking, ride safe, and all the best to you!! |

dude seriously
Iam an er6n rider and i can tell you it is better to go straight to 650cc compared to 250cc.. 250cc is completely underpowered, the topspeed is the same as 1.3l car... not worth it.. The er6n on the other hand has very fast acceleration 0-100kmh 3.8s.. and a nice top speed of 210kmh stock.. and it will accelerate to 190kmh effortless making cars on highways looks like kapchais haha and plus it has a fabulous FC too 10sen per KM... but ninja is better in this but you will get a slower bike BTW i my former bike was zzr 250 which is the bike in my avatar so i know what it's like to ride a 250.. haha just my 2 cents The only downside of ninja250r and er6n is expensive tyres/chain + sprockets and insurance... QUOTE(ben_panced @ Apr 21 2010, 11:51 AM) 250cc is completely underpowered, the topspeed is the same as 1.3l car... not worth it.. not flaming anyone, but which 250cc you're referring to lerr? The er6n on the other hand has very fast acceleration 0-100kmh 3.8s.. and a nice top speed of 210kmh stock.. and it will accelerate to 190kmh effortless making cars on highways looks like kapchais haha a zxr 250's acceleration is by all means not that great, but on traffic light sprints i reckon can keep up wif any 2.0cc if i want to. 2 stroke 250cc lagi lerr.. here's my li'l pocket rocket, btw.
