damn, juz went to tmnet. waited alsmot 1 hour 30mins, 30mins doing ym application for comfirming my house support or not 4mbps.  in d end system showing not supported. and showing i am 8km from d main there. zzz. later they gonna sent technician to test again my house and see. see can support 4mbps or not. zz

i applied cool uni pack 4mb at feb 2010,
when i apply, the package is rm100
but now just rm88

hehe. got secret behind the story ma. if not they wont even bother me ma. they will just say my area not supported. but now they trying to check and will reply and maybe sent technician to test see can support or not. in 24 hours. ^^. hoping can get 4mbps r higher by them. as my snr margin is 30,3 and line attenuation 6.0 which counted as ok.

Wait , the other day you said you were applying for new line and now how come streamyx calls you and says that well if you have upgraded we could have done it ASAP.

You sure its a call from TM ? Sometimes it could be call from agents. I got once , saying that 'sir , do you want to apply for streamyx 4mbps' whereas I am already using 4Mbps. Just ignore

Did you register streamyx with your current line , if so then yes. Otherwise they wouldn't bother , I have 2 lines. 1 for streamyx and the other one for normal call in/call-out.

Here are some general tips to get it done. Based on my sour experience

1. Just register and wait. Dont push them during the first week. You can just go and chill for a while. Its recommended to apply for a new line if possible. Upgrading should be considered if your streamyx/phone line is under your name.

2. Push only once you have not gotten any reply from them. Give them sometime , you shouldn't blame the people at TM point but its their slow system which is implemented by the programmer which sucks to the max. In my case the system cant' do an inter-upgrade from 4mbps to 4mbps without tech coming to my place , which I find its stupid.

Anyone interested in hacking the TM stock router , if so let me know. I'll start a new thread and update it

Anyway those who wanna hack Ridger TM router , it can do QoS and you can even block p2p , do shaping - but but but its all done in command line. So basically you gotta pick up the manual and read. I'll write a  guide later

1. Download PuTtty (just google for it and download)

2. Type 192.168.1.1 and select telnet

3. then type tmadmin/tmadmin for user/pass

4. Welcome to the system. You're able to edit some additional settings. If you know how to configure iptables , simply type sh
5. Some cool tricks , once you have typed sh. Type cat /proc/cpuinfo. You'll notice it uses a broadcom chipset which is similar to a linksys WRT54GL series. I'll see if i can able to slice a firmware together so that we can unlock a lot of great stuff with this router. For now , this is something for you to "play play with"

Those who with combo , aka same case like me. Forget it , they are not going to process it. How can you do ? - Complain to MCMC , send e-mail to TM - be polite and insist that you demand a tech to come to your place to activate. The package gets activated once tech comes , basically I called up 100 couple of times - made report , report report and asked them to forward it asap and report to me. You gotta push them on this.
