5/4 - tm homeline installed

13/4 - streamyx installed and activated [4mbps]

15/4 - call HP hotline for status of order...expected 4/5

16/4 - got call from HP bout netbook order confirmation

18/4 - netbook will be delivered between 2-4pm to my house.

it has the quick browser rite??
no need boot windows oso can use browser to surf net.. + some other stuff like skype n listen to music..
im looking forward to this feature... sounds promising enuf..

bro when u asked the HP hotline representative did you already have the order number ready? did they send u the order number through mail?

all the person who received the netbook with 2 year free warranty...did you try to check on the warranty period?~~

I wonder the universities involved with others while not in the list ?

if currently i'm subscribed to 1m combo, rm110 permonth, can apply? it's under my name.

I tried to check the warranty status and mine is 1 year+ til 8th of June 2011..

So just now I talked to an online HP technician regarding this warranty issue and he asked for proof that this netbook comes with 2 years warranty.. Then he asked me to forward the proof(I forward the order confirmation email from HP to them). He said they can update my warranty if they certified that the netbook really comes with 2 years warranty.. But all these take around 2 weeks time..

how you get the order confirmation email? any way to get it after i received my unit?~i gonna call HP malaysia 2moro for this issue as the HP online chat guy dont really know about this as he from US. and i dont think TM will handle this case. but will call tm 2moro to ask for clarification from them about this issue. 2 weeks...

do you still remember you will receive an order confirmation email from HP before you receive your unit? normally they will send to your streamyx mail and it will give you the order number.. you can use the order number to check your order status.. I saw "HP 2 Year Return to Depot Service for Netbook and Mini Notebook [UL028E] "..

edit: the email also stated that "For Telekom Malaysia ™ related program, you may call the hp Contact Center at 1800-88-2899 Option 2 (TM Unicool) or 1800-88-9799 (TM Steamyx with Free PC)."

I tried to call but the office hour is Mon to Fri from 8am til 5:30pm..

m no bro la...i'm a gal...btw, i read from previous streamyxcoolunipack forum some of d people mentioned try to call d HP hotline to enquire about our netbook...i got d hotline no. from HP website and when I try to call on 15th may, I told d operator that I registerd for streamyx cool uni pack and the installation of telephone n streamyx oredy settled and i wonder when will d netbook be deliverd to me...the operator asked for d phone no. i used for streamyx then she check, she says my name right then told me that she just received my application and d netbook it expected to deliver before 4th may...but dis morning i got a call from HP, check my name, address and phone number then a guy say they'll send d netbook on dis sunday 18/4 around 2pm...i didn't expect it was dis fast...no e-mail i got. d phone call only.

i never access it since 4 year ago i subscribed to my streamyx... and thanks for remind me about this mail account~hahaha~ ...i found that email in the tm webmail acc edi~~ will make a call to hp. mine also stated the same as you~

lol.. you are welcome.. This is the first time I access my streamyx webmail(just for the hp order email).. actually I plan to sell the netbook.. but now the problem is the warranty status at hp website is different from what TM stated.. lets hope that HP can solve our problems..

TMpoint ppl told me 30 days also. But one day the streamyx guy called and ask what time can he come install.. LOL
So happy no need wait 30 days. I suppose it's how fast they process your application and how fast the TM guy come lo.
I went TMPoint Puchong.

If current streamyx is not under the applicant's name, MUST terminate only can subscribe the unipack.
If current streamyx is under applicant's name, can straight away upgrade.
Final alternative it to get a new homeline, BUT if the contractor at your area slow, it will be the same as waiting for termination. LOL

Here's a few things u have to do on the form.

1. Homeline Section
(a) Fill up if you don't have one.
(b) Fill up if you want to get an extra line.
© Don't fill up if you already have one and want to stick to it.

2. Streamyx Application
(a) Type of application
(i) Tick new if you are terminating your current streamyx OR your homeline has no streamyx attached to it.
(ii) Tick Upgrade if your current streamyx is under your(applicant) name
(iii) Tick Downgrade if you want BUT your current streamyx has to be under your(applicant) name also.
(b) Tick the speed you want to subscribe to.
© For 2(a)(ii) and 2(a)(iii), state your existing streamyx ID in the space given.

3. Applicant Details, Billing Information & Acknowledgement (I'm sure I don't have to teach you on that)

4. Third Party Authorization & Applicant Acknowledgement
(a) If the homeline you're using to subscribe this package is not under your(applicant) name, please let the homeline owner fill the Third Party Authorization section
(b) Applicant Acknowledgement to be filled by applicant. (ONLY for homeline NOT under applicant's name)

5. Acknowledgement from IPTA/IPTS
(a) Bring the form (3 piece together) to your respective uni and to your student services or administration office to fill this, sign this, and stamp this. (stamp on all 3 piece)

6. Bring photocopy IC, Student ID, Offer Letter, Homeline Owner IC (If applicable) to TMPoint and apply.


FOR Streamyx Termination,

1. Get the streamyx termination form.
2. Let the streamyx owner fill it.
3. IF streamyx owner is unable to terminate it in person, ask him/her to write a surat wakil for you.
4. Bring termination form, streamyx owner's IC copy & surat wakil (if applicable) to TM point.


NOTE ! ! !

1. For termination of streamyx, IF streamyx and homeline owner same and IF termination and application at the same time, bring only 1 streamyx and homeline owner's IC copy.
2. There is no need to worry about what speed your location can support. Just tick what you want. They will process it and find out what speed your location can support.
3. For termination of streamyx, you have to wait 14 to 30 working days but it still depends on how fast your application is processed (i got it in 10 days). You can choose to get a new homeline but if your local contractor is slow, it doesn't make a difference.
4. For people who isn't 1st or 2nd yr or that your uni is not in the list, do try applying as alot people who's like tat got it. It really depends on your luck. (Try not to ask too much questions when you applying like "only 1st and 2nd yr can?", "3rd yr can?", "still got 2 yrs left can?", "my uni can apply?")
