I have a plot of land near Ulu Branang / Lenggeng with 2 mushroom structure left behind by previous tenant in Oct13. The previous tenant was a researcher. Each structure could house about 12k mushroom bag. I believe it is still good for immediate mushroom production. It come with water and electricity facilities.  Please PM me if anyone interested to continue and take over the place. I would send you more details. TQ

If you do not have any experience at all, you may want to buy 1 or 2 thousand bags and gain practical knowledge from there.
If you have confidence to start straight away, you can try on a modest scale i.e. less than Rm10 thousand.
If you have the financial resources and want to go big then you need a good and experienced consultant to guide you.
Basically,

1. You need a piece of land to build your mushroom house.
    A reasonable size of 30'x50' can contain approx 25,000 bags
    So, the land and the number of houses will depend on your commitment.

2. If you want to go on a low budget project you can construct your building and the racks inside with wood. These will       
    last you a few years and maintenance problem.

3. For more permanent and efficient output, you use mild steel for structure and racks.

4. If your scale is not big you can buy mushroom bags and concentrate on harvesting.

5. If your scale is big then you have to make your own bags and do your own inoculation.

From this point, let me know what your budget or financial commitment is like and I will be able to give you more advice.

For a mushroom kit, it is a reasonable price. Since he is asking for a kit for testing purpose. Besides, buying from farm would need a minimum order quantity of hundreds which defeats the testing purpose.
