Woohoo! Thx to you guys, I had my best ever sniping round in fragnetics.
9 kills (crap I know, but still it's my personal best so far) 5 headshots Not to mention quite a number critical assists. Not bad for an uncle eh? This post has been edited by SweetPuff: Apr 9 2010, 12:00 PM |

not much difference between GOL and M95 to me, i play out the 2 and just depending who get the aim first and shoot. That's all and not much to debate to it. Even using M24 also the same, don't feel any different in it. Aim first and shoot first (of course got the aim correct already first) then you win

I shut down the UAV a few time with just 1 bullet - 1 shot 1 kill. I doubt GOL is as good. But if compared on accuracy, both are on par. I am sux with SVU, piece of shit for me. Btw, why is VSS a sniper rifle? It is an awesome assault rifle - silent and deadly. |

even though M95 is more powerful, there's something about it that i dont like. It feels sluggish when you want to zoom, feels like the gun is very heavy and the soldier has a tough time holding the gun up to his eye level. Get what i mean?
GOL is much more responsive (like M24) and i can normally zoom and kill within 2 sec of enemy sighting at mid range. Somehow the feell and sound of GOL reminds me very much of AWP (which i was also good at) in CS. Does anyone feels the same? Maybe that's why i feel much more comfortable using GOL. Lastly but not least, semi-auto aka snaiperskaya = fail. at least for me, LOL. never able to get it right. This post has been edited by gzero: Jun 18 2010, 10:42 AM |

At the moment M95 is NOTbetter in terms of power or damage. It's the same as any other sniper rifle; it does the same damage as Gol, m24 or sv98. All 4 sniper rifles does the same maximum and minimum damage. There is however only a small difference in terms of scoping sway, fire rate, scoping speed. The reason why most of you ppl say that m95 feels sluggish is because it's slightly slower to scope in, slower fire rate, and slower reload speed.
THE ONLY THING THAT SET M95 APART FROM THE REST IS THAT IT DOES DAMAGE TO LIGHT VEHICLES (UAV, helicopters, hummers, quad bikes) and it penetrates through thin covers. ![]() |

buckshots is your standard circle crossair where you get individual pellets that does e.g. 12.5 damage each pellet.
slug is where your cross air is the cross in the middle of the screen where it shoots one single slug. example: This post has been edited by JuzJoe: Jun 18 2010, 04:34 PM |

If you refer the the damage table ALL bolt action sniper rifles do 50 damage at range.
And for further clarification all weapons used to have different ballistic bullet drop properties but after god knows which patch all bullet drop over distance is now the same. Another thing I must place emphasis on is that even though the Magnum Ammo spec claims to increase bullet velocity and decrease bullet drop it actually doesn't. So if you're a recon who just prefers to go for headshots forget about Magnum Ammo. Another thing to not is that they reduced the 1HKO range for all bolt action sniper rifles during the last patch. Another note is that with the current patch the M95 WILL NOT kill anyone with a headshot if he's using the Body Armor spec. The only reason I'm still using the M95 is just because I want to Platinum Star it. 254 kills more to go... |

The only reason that the M95 is worth using is the ability to dmg light vehicles and choppers and able to OHK the UAV.Another thing is the insane penetration.
Even though all the bolt action snipers have the same dmg but they do have a lot of differences among each other. The SV98 have the highest ammo cap, fastest bolt action cycle, fastest reload speed and unique chevron style scope. The GOL is considered to be the most accurate bolt action snipers because of the thin crosshair and fastest scope in. The M24 would be in between the 2 bolt action snipers.Good sniper for starters. Maybe after reading this I feel more confident to try Recon again. :l
I gave up coz most of the time far range couldn't snipe anything at all. Rarely got the lucky headshot but that's about it (Coz agak agak bullet drop). >_> Right now, Recon makes KD ratio ugleh. D: |

QUOTE(Miri-Sarawak @ Apr 6 2010, 07:55 PM) But i played it on the PS3. I can see the bullet drop but when i bought for the PC.. it was straight. I thought they port this stuff to the PC. Maybe, i should Q&A the EA regarding this un-port bullet drop.
