I like both Gol & M95. They both seem like they have the same range, so I'm kinda used to it's range/bullet drop. Though the M95 is slow, the sound effect makes me come back for more. Gol is a great substitute for faster firing rate.

IINM, M24 doesn't have the range like Gol & M95. Besides, it's headshots that gives you the instant kill not body shots. Besides, I think the damage differences between gol and M24 is negligible.
I pick the M95 because you can damage choppas with it. Also, with Magnum ammo even a bodyshot will do something like 95%, enough to kill someone who has suffered minor damage.
Protip: Picking Magnum ammo reduces your bullet drop. GOL has zero sway and the bolt action is faster though. So it's really up to you. I did snipe out a blackhawk pilot with the GOL once though. Loled.
IMO, for GOL / M95 it depends on the scope you are using and how far is the target. I estimate the range through the size of the target that appears on the scope. Most of the time where the traget is juz beyond 100meters I aim just right above the head. You can take a look at this video for reference, that is how i got to learn the characteristics of both Gol & M95:
When watching the video, pay attention to the distance and the size of the target. Watch the size of the target when scoped and the distance when not. It's also important to know the height of the target; like is the target on a hill heigher above you? That is what I usually consider when aiming.
BTW, I usually equip 12x scope and magnum rounds(for the extra range; less bullet drop)

another variable for bullet drop is of cos whether ur firing from top down or other way round. if firing from bottom to top seems to have to adjust for more bullet drop.
im using gol more now, but m95 is definitely more accurate...probably due to less bullet drop.

M2 pwns all
MW2 sniper is easy, just like CS, and they got no bullet travel time
i like the m24 scope, but dont like the barrel wander of m24 and m95, i wish i can their scope and place it on the gol so that i get gol with m24 scope with no barrel wander

i'm gonna put a different argument here:
sniper rifle bullet speed and drops are all the same, regardless whether u use magnum ammo or not. magnum ammo only enhances damage by 25% as well as extending the 1hk range. it doesnt do anything else.
