for the last time its 2~6x LOL!!

As pinch said, just take height x width x depth

For 2 feeter, Well this is my own favourite formula.. just count them in CM

60cm(2ft) x 30cm x 30cm (1ft) = 54 000 divided by 1000 = 54Litres

So round that upwards to 60litre, and multiply by your preference to filter l/h strength. As MICHANZ mentioned, around 360 l/h would be nice.

Try 2bps, slowly increasing bit by bit.. untill you see your fish suffocating then you'll know it's too much..

What does your drop checker tell u??

If that's the case, use the fishes as a gauge..

No it wont be too much.

Drew

Added on April 7, 2010, 7:26 amOf course, unless your tank is empty and no plants. then really too much

Mic, go buy for me 3, 3 2L tanks + solenoid regulator.

power deal. Check and see if that 'solenoid' has a power cable attached?

And yes you're right ranchu...

BTW, in case there are some miscommunications, there are some MANUAL regulators with 2 valves as well

This is a solenoid valve..a.k.a. Auto regulator..

Around here, cheapest is rm 280 per unit WITHOUT c02 tank.

Walaneh,

Your problems meh.. I can afford these things.

FYI, I did not rely on my parents funding to get all this. Only relied on it when I was 17 or younger. Have been working part time.. All the $ earned during part time spent here since food and accommodation is cleared off...

Also I don't spend mindlessly or needlessly like most noobs. I did not take the route of spending stage by stage like what I see happening here.. Fans fans, HOB HOB, then change to canister.. straight to what pro use.. Less problems.. Less headaches

Don't simply judge people when you don't know them. I am not putting myself in your shoes. Don't put yours into mine.

All the best to all you aspiring aquascapers out there. If you think I gained results trough all this expensive gear, think again. (check Aquafair Entry 2008, use HOB, basic lighting, still not a bad scape)

Try having more passion guys. rather than just comparing my gears to yours.

Andrew

@ Chiew

Many tanks have different pricing..

let's talk about the most cheapo 2ft x 1ft x 1ft with bracing..

That'll definitely not go over rm 40..

whereas a customed 60cm x 36cm x 30cm braceless around ehre would cost you rm 120.. It's ADA size.. but not true ADA

An ADA one is around 500+

Other aquariums.. the acrylic ones or bend front ones.. not so sure.. Not a fan of curved corners.

@theangel.
Seems Like This Is Where You Got This Habit Of Typing Every Letter Of Your Sentence With Capitals tongue.gif Don't Infect MAC With It LOL.

There are some things I must be serious of. That's what I believe in.

No, don't need to apologize. It's not that you guys are rude or anything. I'm just tired of it already for those who simply ASSUME.. people start looking at my gear, then go see market price of things... then simply add on in their minds.. then go waa.. then find out my age.. then go double waaahh and simply combine all and think I got these without effort.

it's society's fault. Not yours Mic.

Just note that the action ASSUME would make and ASS of U and ME . biggrin.gif
