??
small cc car normally use lighter oil 5-30w best. but blm manual reco 20-50w. tried once, the engine dame heavy, sucks. drain off at 1500km usage.
btw now using 10-30w pureguard mineral oil for 5000km. no oil loss n at oil change, the old oil not that black.

for new engine, u should use what they already recommended, its already stated either at below front bonet or car's manual...
uses a thinner or thicker then the engine should can damage ur engine..

unless they recommended too (i mean the fully synthetic oil, like my mum's toyota vios can chose either want to do 10k km service with fully synthetic oil or semi-syenthetic oil 5k km at toyota SC) if not could void warranty later then, that can be issue

Holy... I should have read this topic before I purchase and serviced my Honda (2400cc) with Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40. So far this engine oil is better than that Honda/Toyota fully synthetic.

I have not felt the sluggishness as I was caught in a jam most of the time. I will try it and let you guys know the result.

assalam,

i'm using so many type of viscosity...from 15w40, 5w40, 10w30, 20w50, 10w40, 15w50.....and so many brand i've try....and from mineral to fully

i dont see why BLM cant use FULLY @ 100% synthetic type...

it's depend on what engine oil you're using...and either you buy a FAKE Original one....

i'm also using the HDEO for my engine...3 years now...so far so good

my engine head cover after 3 years using HDEO, and sometimes with PCMO..with many type if viscousity:
