Flash as in those like SB600 or SB900. Are those required or built in will do?
*
Here's a few questions to your question:
1. Do you have a budget? External flash is to help with different lighting conditions. You may use inboard flash but does the result satisfy you?
2. Are you doing a paid job or just or leisure? If it's for
leisure then maybe u can consider using a difuser instead if you don't really bother much about overall pictures as u just want a photo for memories
3. onboardflash is usually producing yellow colors(if not mistaken) so color temp
may run off if u pay close attention.
4. Any users out there using external flash usually don't bother about on board anymore.

more to add : . pop up flash  . object behind the item will be dark .

Bump up your iso. Don't be stingy with it. Sometimes using popup
flash can also allow you to create an dramatic photo. You'll be surprised onboard flash isn't that bad. It's just that there are limitations

QUOTE(wen116 @ Mar 31 2010, 02:28 AM)
hello can anyone help me ? i am looking for lens filter ^^
dunno which one to choose cpl or normal uv filter...
cpl can use on any condition? cpl filter can use on all condition?
i am using kenko uv filter but has broken and i feel that it is so unsafe to use it .... i drop my camera once and the lens cap fly out and the uv filter broken and beside the lens glass has scatches = =" lucky the lens glass didnt not broke or scatches ^^ please advice ^^ TQ ~
*
Wen I recommend u to use your lens hood instead at least the hood will absorb the impact.

Cpl and uv is very different. Uv filter nowadays used for protection only. Cpl filter reduces reflection by allowing light go into the lens at a certain angle. Therefore it isn't recommended to use it for all conditions as it would usually be 1 to 2 1/2 stops lower hence shooting in the dark would be a pain in the ass.

Cheap filters will cause flaring and reduce IQ. If its possible not to use it I'd recommend not to. Perhaps get a padded bag for your dslr+lens would be better

Please refer page 2 for my post regarding cpl filter,. It's not meant for protection

if u don't know how to use it then it'll be practically useless

if the cpl is for 170 it's not worthwhile. Kenko 130 for cpl filter.

Unfilled warranty any pros and con?  I guess i wont buy it already... thanks for the advice..

Don't be reviled by the unfilled warranty card crap. You'll be playing with luck since every product has a serial no which records a timeline. It shouldn't run off too much from the date a dealer gets the product.

manual mode hard ? just set the power of the flash ?

it takes some time getting use to. but my question is, would u be happy if u spent few hundred bucks and realise u have to go through the trouble especially when u use it for important events?

if u're taking photo of obama jogging pass ur mom and u want to take photo of that but when u do so u realise it's not the optimum setting.. what would u do.. tell obama to go back and do the run again? rolleyes.gif

because u dont see canon's lens price drop. the competition is on the dslr body instead of lens right now.
