Then D5000 sud be more superior than D90 since D5000 is a newer model. But still D90 is great for low light shots.. high ISO also can maintain without much noise.

*my D3000 is -peanuts- compared to those two.. sweat.gif
*
your d3000 can do wonder when it have sigmalux attached on it laugh.gif

Thanks shadowshine.

I did read about these 2 lens (except D90 vs D5000; needs more research, but still love the swivel LCD!!).

Wonder why u say both are very very different?

The key differences that i had in mind are:
-Prime vs zoom lens
-Price
-Fast prime at wide open vs versatile zoom with const. aperture.

The reason for me to compare between this two:
- Both have relatively large aperture - for my budget constrain..
- Portraits and minimal lighting condition is my challenge. Having D3000 means i have near to zero advantage on high ISO bumps.

Share some insights pls.

I use a f/2.8 zoom lens, I'm able to cover low light easily at max ISO400. But I do use a flashgun as well.

iso 400 still fine on d3000 .

yea below 10k... Actually I also dunno how many SC should be considered "a lot", just my rough estimation. It's not wrong to buy a DSLR with 20k SC or so... sometimes depend on your luck too =)

somebody is selling d40 rm799 at garage sales there , with 3k SC
