More information for Unifi:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1368715

What I'm trying has nothing to do with Unifi though.

Ah my bad then, assumed it was related to Unifi. sweat.gif

Lag mode at 11pm. Same old Screamyx. Using the best IP for my place too.

Update: Connection back to normal for Barthilas and my old server, Illidan at 3am.

Looks like the problem is Screamyx network congestion, sigh.

Thanks all for your feedback. I checked with Tm and there's no unifi for Setia Alam till 3rd quarter (so they say... that means next year most likely). I have since resorted to upgrading my 1MB to a 4MB connection. Not quite 4MB... yet, technician claims problem on TMnet side, calling TMnet and they have told me to deal with technician (some 14 day guarantee). Speedtest giving me 1775kbps on tmnets page.

Tested with my slightly speedier (no tunneling) connection on WoW, giving me 400 latency in dalaran, ablity to complete WG with NO d/c (there's lag but not to a point where I get disconnected). Did a 25man VOA yesterday with NO d/c, seems like its more stable than my normal 1MB. IP address is in the 60.49x.x or 115.x.x.x numbers.

Anyone here have a 4MB connection? I wonder if its a modem setting I can configure to bump it up to the 4MB i signed up for OR is it all handled on Tmnet server side?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

yo medwarf, for your question, you can't do anything on your side for it is handled by TMnut.

I'm on Streamyx Rm88 package and 25 man raids is possible BUT with tunneling. I've done Ony,For the Horde, Sunwell and Hyjal so far. The point is if you're geting UniFi for sole purpose of doing 25 man raids then its not worth it. But if you favor fast torrents, Youtube HD then go for it. Otherwise, Streamyx and tunneling is cheaper.

Btw my ping is usually 200-270.

Update:
Tmnet Technician finally got my 4MB working. Apparently they needed to reset a port (manually) down the street from my house. Connection seems really speedy, 2 PCs running 25Man no issues, haven't had a disconnect since the upgrade. No tunneling, no proxy, regular connection. I have noticed that the 115.XX ips are more stable (for WoW and P2P downloads).

Will have to look into Unifi when they launch it here in Setia Alam. TMnet claims 3rd Quarter but I doubt it. Probably sometime next year.

Thank you all for your informative feedbacks.

Just install unifi last week at my house in Shah Alam and took the 10Mbit package. So far raided ICC10/25, VOA 10/25 without any lag or dc.

My latency is constant 300ms.
