if you can try look around further you might get better bargain for the battery pack thingy... just because its from nokia its just ex....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree with you aspire pls post all the stuff in the front page as i have suggested before.. then ask them to refer there as for us users who basically wanna discuss bout the phone dun wanna talk bout comparison anymore... I am quite tired of this comparison... which keeps coming up every now and then.... zzzzz... also some of the question asked bout the phone also been address before jsut that they come in and ask without searching.... hey.... long before the phone arrive here, i have been using the phone.... thanks to certain individual here.... i search all over the net to get the things which most ppl are asking here... so aspire pls put all those question asked before in the front page so we all can move on to better discussion like overclocking.. hehe.. QUOTE(Andy214 @ Apr 10 2010, 11:27 PM) Personally, iPhone makes things better for the novice or normal users, they make it simple and "safe" for these users. But then, these are not the "smartphone" that techies or IT people are looking for; These are more like "smart"phones for dummies. That's why there're article which says iPhone is not a smartphone. I agree with you on the iPhone thingy - phone simple enough for everyone to use... everything is set.. just press 1 button and everything is back to normal.. like pressing "any" key.. BUT, if they allow OPTIONS for users to "activate" or "open" the app, then it will be a different story. What they do is more like, TOTAL control over their customers, and not giving any chance for the users to take any advantage. This is good for them because they can ensure that their product is secure and stable, less complains. What Apple did is like giving only "GUEST" account in Windows to the users. So as an administrator, you can be sure and worry less about the user and also no need the user did some mistakes, face problems and put the blame you. A smartphone is like a Phone with Mini Computer. When we buy a computer with an OS, we get Administrators rights and we can do whatever we want with the PC. But none of the smartphone have reach that level except N900. We paid so much for it, and what do we get? Restrictions? Control? Limitation? Wow.... Who's happy to pay to be controlled? But then, it depends on the users/buyers. iPhone will suit most normal phone users and fit their requirements, because they polished then important BASIC features very well. They don't really need "smart" users. So, these user wouldn't mind if they only get "GUEST" account, because what they want is just a phone that is appealing and works well. They won't need the Task Managers, and all those "advance" options. If we're talking about "true" smartphones, then usually it's the more advanced users that will be looking for it, and the REASON why they choose smartphones. That's why these users keep looking for more and more powerful device which lets them do more stuffs, have more flexibility, less limitation, etc. iPhone will not fit this bill unless it is JB. Btw, Jobs said a FLAT no to Java and Flash to iPhone OS4. There're reasons why iPhone have so many growing apps/games; It's because of their control and market, developers are getting most benefit from there. Honestly, I'm not against iPhone, I would get one but definitely will JB it. I just cannot accept the price which is over ridiculous for it's specs. Based on current phone market, it shouldn't even cost more than RM1.5K. The 3GS only come with single speaker, delivering MONO sound quality. iPhone actually is a GOOD thing to happen, when it first launch, it make a BIG entrance and change to the smartphone world. It's like a phone from future, and make all other smartphones look bad and outdated. But it's been sometime and I only see minor updates or facelift over the iPhone 2G->3G->3GS. Imagine the first buyer, pity them and it ain't cheap. iPhone change the smartphones market, bring tough competition, and WAKE UP others and make them pay more attention, which results to today's smartphone and also competitive pricing. If not, I think smartphones would easily cost RM3K or more. for the technology.. i think it was there just that iPhone was fast enought to say that it was theirs.. hehe.. and see what it could do?? pinching?? 1 button??? any many apps flooded for it... this is like apple ppl develop solely for iPhone it the shortes possible time.. hehee... |

QUOTE(jambu21 @ Apr 10 2010, 11:29 PM) cause right now this phone is tilting more to the buying side than iphone, well i think i would advice you to google around.. i believe the resources there would be vast enough to let you make your choice... thats y i come and ask here, that and this phone much more cheaper than iphone, and thats a umbs up for me but if ur not willing to help then just say so then i wouldnt bother to reply anymore in this thread sorry silverhawk where did you reply cant seem to find your post I have placed the youtube comparison so for you to be informed... also the discussion of the iPhone comparison is alot advice by aspire and if you read through the the post here the answers and questions are nearly the same.... have fun.... you guys are rich b$$$@$$$ so much money for gadgets... really envy..
Added on April 10, 2010, 11:53 pm QUOTE(Andy214 @ Apr 10 2010, 11:42 PM) Actually, to put it simple... This post has been edited by firstknight: Apr 10 2010, 11:53 PMIf I would pay close to RM3k for a iPhone 3GS 32GB... With 3K, I might as well: 1. Buy Nokia N900 (Maemo) or Motorola Milestone (Android), which boths are great smartphones. (AP around RM1800) 2. Buy one iPod Touch 3G - 16GB - JB it, and enjoy the apps/games. (around RM1.1K) Heck, if I really want true mobile gaming experience, the RM1K I can buy myself a PSP and still have extra to spare. But I already have PSP. So, I would get the iPod Touch 3G to get those cool apps and games. Without phone functionality, I don't have to worry about the battery power. Plus, since I have N900, I can enjoy true multi-tasking and it's browsing experience. Meh.... this is good idea. I can enjoy both. |
