Hey, I too join here. Got my netbook a few weeks back, been tinkering with it alot, even taking it apart (till a certain extend only to see the insides). Lucky using 2.5" hdd. Not 1.8" one. Can upgrade next time. rclxms.gif

Press the wifi button. The bluetooth will activate. Wait a while. If nothing happens, press it again. Make sure the light is on.

Its a slim DVD-RW. Nicked my dad's one cause his laptop came with it. Use it to backup to 4 DVDs (insane) then format to ultimate.

Hrm, weird. Try pressing it 2nd time if that's the case. Or install from device manager.

The problem is, the netbook is made for win7. That's why.

OK. Do this. Turn off the netbook. Turn on. Let it idle a while, then press the wireless button once. If nothing still, press till the light goes off, then press again. If still nothing, press again. If nothing again, go device manager see if its inside.

It should be there, just, disabled. Else, go into bios check.

Its normal. Its hidden to reduce clutter. Can set it on 24/7 at the network settings there.

Weird. Try this. Open your device manager, then press the wireless button. See if the bluetooth pops out.

Which win7 version are you on?

QUOTE(kennywai @ May 3 2010, 07:21 PM)
anybody have power issues using other versions of win 7 ?

im using home premium and the battery seems to last a little over 2 hours with wifi and minimal surfing..

my friend was able to have 3hours plus doing the same thing with win 7 starter... seems home premium is using more power... anyway how to make it less power hungry ? like disabling aero peek..
*
Disable all the fancy stuff. Then you can get a few minutes back. I'm using 7 Ultimate, usage was about 3 hours on heavy gmaing (CS) through wifi, just on battery at highest brightness and loudest setting (well, comfortable loudness lar.)

Nothing come out.. But keep on got USB not regconized.. DOnou what is it. Windows Home Premium BTW
Yes, I install when wifi on.

Might be the bluetooth. Try using manual install. Update the driver then navigate to where you extracted the bt driver.

Then really no idea. I've checked in the bios, nothing there. No function for built-in bt.

I think formatting it?

@mengsuan = What software you use to check your battery wear?

Cause your screenie shows that it cannot install as its not detected.

Try going over to broadcom and get the bt installer/driver. I just opened up my netbook again to check the chipset.

Get EASEUS Todo Backup. Free and good. Just image the drive and send over to the pendrive.

There are many sub models of the HP Mini 210. The ones given by TM is black. Those you buy from HP, you get different patterns to choose from. Not to mention also, some models have 3G hardware, as well as GPS modules inside.

So it depends much on what you have inside. Go check out HP site.

QUOTE(Liuteva @ May 6 2010, 09:02 PM)
Hey guys.

I just got a HP Mini 210-1073TU yesterday, I upgraded it from Win 7 Starter to Win 7 Ultimate x64.

I got some problems here, once I on the WLAN, the Bluetooth shown disabled still, how to solve this? And my Bluetooth shown as Unknown Device under USB controllers in Device Manager.

I did installed drivers either, but wont work.

Any solutions? Thanks smile.gif

Added on May 6, 2010, 9:06 pmBy the way, when I using the Win 7 Starter, I am able to turn the Bluetooth on but now cant already since using Win 7 Ultimate x64.

Mine is always turn off. Right-click turn it on at the taskbar. Then it will work (that is if, you can see the icon there.)

Seems a few people having problems with their bt.

QUOTE(dlwl @ May 6 2010, 09:10 PM)
It seems to run ok, but just tested it on windows media player. i wonder if it would be better if i installed mediaplyer classic+coreavc codec.

btw, when you guys got the mini for the first time, how long did you all charge the battery?
*
Anyway. I have tested Angel Beat 720p, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood 720p, and some 720p movies, mine does lag. I have CoreAVC v2 with k-lite. Sound is always faster than video. rclxms.gif

Watching lots of 720p animes on my desktop, so was tempted to try it on the netbook, but lagging. So, I have to reduce interblocking to a minimal, which result in tear and boxing when rendering high detailed picture. A small sacrifice for lag-free anime.

no, I mean how you reduce inter blocoking to minimal?

Owh. I have CoreAVC. Use that with k-lite. CoreAVC is another codec. I just switch it to skip always on the deblocking.
