Least keep the slot dust free/dirt free. I plug in old 1gb card, just to keep dirt/dust from going in since it does not have a dust flap on it.

Readyboost wise.. card to slow. Haha.

Least others easier to clean compared to cleaning card reader. Not so deep compared. Besides, Mini 210 comes with dust cover for LAN. =3

How about operating the mini on QuickWeb? Should last longer isn't it?

I have to press FN+ALT+F4 to exit, does this applies to all other netbooks?
*
Using the function key, it depends. There are netbooks which has fix f keys then you need to use function to access the secondary f keys, like FN+F1 = brightness lower etc etc.

*

Ok, I js got back HP Tower in Bkt Damansara. I went to ask if it was possible to purchase the Broadcom HD card (which lets you play 720p/1080p flawlessly). I had to wait for like 30 mins until the tech support guy came back and told me that the device is 'not available in Malaysia for at least another 6 months.'

So now I'm curious. Is there anyone who owns the Mini 210 HD edition? If you do, can you check if you're using the Broadcom Crystal HD card? It's mounted on the mini PCIe slot.

For those curious abt the device, check out these links

Means as long as you are connected to the net, you are updated. And its open-source, where other people can report if virus is detected, then its also updated into your AV.

Do you get tearing/blocking when at very detailed scene? Like, many birds flying through, and what's your bitrate?

Strangely enough, I don't get any problems during very heavy scenes (dancing, birds, combat, etc), but I get some framerate drops during panning scenes (flight, drives, etc.). Otherwise, no tearing/blocking or other major issues.
*
Hrm. Weird. Was playing 720p Angel Beat, during concert scene, the background tore alot, but frame rate was retained.

I think thats the video file's encoding problem. Try playing other vids (prince of persia or iron man 2 trailers) and see. Try also tweaking your MPC output settings.
*
Nope. Tried on my dad's powerful laptop, no problem. Desktop, also no problem, except I get tear also cause desktop is old. Lack power. Configured same as my desktop. Hence the tear, but no lag. Bitrate over 200KB.

MPClassic ::: [Mazui] Angel Beats - 08 [7788F256].mkv ::sad.gif••••••••••) ::: 00:06 / 24:30 ::: ~224.08KB/s ::: 321.68MB

mine start up tat time 63%.. idle longer get 43%..

btw.. the cloud version if we are not connected to the internet, still can use to scan files? reliable enuf? and is the false alarm rate high?

i aso found out tat intel graphic and the matrix storage thing run at start up. can disable them? any side effects?
*
It can scan. By being on the net, its updated constantly. Juat that added advantage. So far, it caught a few virus from friend's pendrive cause friend's lappie got virus also. rclxms.gif

Can disable both of them. Just remove from tray. Intel Matrix, remove from tray also. Save more loading time. Mine startup till idle, around 40% or less. I didn't install some of the stuff like the Synaptic touchpad. No need for multi-gesture.

AV running? Windows Update running? See what's eating the resources in your task manager.

Arrange according to memory usage. And also, CPU usage. Then you can see what's eating it up.

Your screenshot not complete.

Uninstall a few stuff. Cloud drive is useless unless you need it. Get a lighter browser. Firefox or Opera.

will i somehow get a non tm version?

Unless you're buying it direct from HP. I've personally called SG HP, they told me, we cannot add-on money for additional stuff. I wanted the Broadcom HD accelerator card and a different coloured one, I still got a no.

not true dude

Hp Mini 210-1073TU is US version HP mini

google 1st before u type  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
What I meant was, that the ones TM is giving out, has black back panel. Even model wise is similar, the keyboard is not real chicklet types, and is has more capacity hdd compared to others.

Yes, google gives you US, but not the actual product. Sorry if it was my mistake. No hard feelings bro. Just discussing. But as I see it, the model changes according to your specs.

Why u call HP SG instead of Msia?
*
Because, our HP Minis comes from SG. I called the number TMNet gave me. Its connected to SG because I asked.
