QUOTE(hafez13) in other news, only 4 million 3DS to be shipped before 31 march. I wonder if that's enough or are we looking at a Wii-style shortage. Yeah, that was also mentioned in the Iwata Asks. Meh, definitely not at launch though.

Pokemon Black and White due for March 6. 3DS probably slightly later than that?

Shouldn't take too long for us to get Pokemon from that date I think. 3DS however is a different matter.
Actually the launch colours announced for Japan is only blue or black. US and Europe still unannounced. The other colours you've seen are test units and haven't been announced for sale. That being said, totally love the orange one. I hope they have it in that colour soon! |

Frankly, this is the first time I've heard someone say it's underwhelming. Everyone else seems to say it's quite powerful for a handheld. And having seen the Capcom test screenshots of the two Resident Evil games as well as the MGS trailer, I think the 3DS is quite powerful.
In any case, I think it's TOO powerful. Too much power = more battery consumption |

If I'm not mistaken, 3D does indeed affect battery life. The 3DS has to process two separate images for each eye for the stereoscopic effect, although with some games (DoA iirc) if you switch it off it goes from 30fps to 60fps which means the processor is still doing extra work!
The 5 hour estimate is with 3D on I think but I wonder if that includes StreetPass. |

Well I doubt you'll be playing in 3D for 5 hours straight anyway. Your eyes will literally melt due to the awesomeness.
