A report in the popular German newspaper Bild suggests that the Nintendo 3DS handheld, which will be offering gamers a chance to play three dimensional video games without using the familiar glasses, will have a launch date of November 11 in Japan and will have a price equivalent to 200 Euro.

The Bild report also talks about the device arriving in Europe in the spring of next year.

Mario Kart 3D, Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle are said to be the launch titles that Nintendo will be offering to attract gamers to the new platform.

Previous rumors coming from a peripheral maker named Factory Keys mentioned the launch date of the Nintendo 3DS as being November 20.

Clearer details will be known later during this week as Nintendo goes ahead with a public press conference where the pricing details for the 3DS will be confirmed and the Japanese launch date will be set in stone.

As for North America and Europe Nintendo has already stated that the new gaming platform will be launched before the end of the 2011 financial year, which means prior to March 31 of next year.

The Nintendo 3DS could be a revolution in mobile gaming, with its impact similar to that of the motion tracking Nintendo Wii on home consoles, with Microsoft and Sony taking a few years to mount a response.

Recent reports suggest that the hardware of the device is not cutting edge or extremely powerful, with the main processor being the one that also powers initial iPhone model and the Zune HD.

But if Nintendo can really deliver on 3D gaming, and reports from Gamescom and E3 suggests that it can, and if the price is close to that of the original DS on launch the 3DS has a chance of dominating the mobile gaming market for the foreseeable future.
