Hi there,

Can all the master out there share your thoughts in this?

RM100,000. I can start investing up to RM1,000,000 of property. Assuming 90% loan.

OR

RM100,000 worth of shares.

What are the factors to consider?

When you have mentioned 1mn for property you plan 90% loan, so you would be paying an installment. If you are investing 100000 plus the installment in stocks in a systematic investment plan then stocks will give you a return more than property. But if you are planning to invest just 100000 and expect it to overtake the equivalent property investment then it won't be possible. You cannot compare apples and oranges.

You also need to plan your 100000 in stocks well. Stocks demand continuous attention . In property purchase you also have cost like maintainence etc but in stocks you get dividend which you need to reinvest.

Take care wink.gif

This type of question are very stupid as only you yourself know your needs and what you actually want. Its is like asking:

"WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO EAT TONITE?"

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the thread is very much valid. The person has money and needs to check out what is a better way to grow it. As with the dinner tonite thing its good to know options and then eat the best one.

If i could fetch RM500 rental pa for a RM100,000 property, i will get 6% of returns. This is before appreciation of the property.

On average, how much is % does property go up in USJ 1 area? I heard LRT coming sooooon..

For property issue, can discuss via properties section.

For share issue, can discuss via stock market subforum

There is no such thing of best investment.

You won't get any answer from comparing apples and oranges.

There are tons of way to grow your money but come with respective risk involved.

We welcomed any topic exploring various investment tool. But for the topic like have xyz money, invest in A or B better, it will be closed generally, because it won't yield any result, and a lot of time yield a lot of spamming posts around.

We always welcomed to create topic to explore any particular issue. Please don't ask which investment is better, instead one should be doing is to explore the risk behind and prospect of it, then decide whether suit to your own risk appetite or not. Different individual different risk appetite and affordability, there is no single solution or answer for it.

Using 100K invest in Rm1 mil, what if the properties project being abandoned, or cannot rent out, then it become a big liabilities
Using 100K invest in stock market, choose the wrong company to invest, delisted, doom as well.

So topic closed.
