Seriously, the difference between FHD and HD Ready Plasma depends on your source. ie: Blu_Ray, Astro, DVD or etc.

Then of course, your budget available? But most importantly, trust your eyes.

For Astro, HD ready is sufficient. Astro transmit in 1080i . FHD waste of money. My advice buy HD ready now(RM2200 42X28) and in the future when Astro/TM transmits in FHD then buy FHD. By then 42in FHD will cost RM 2000 only  
2 TV for the current price of 1 FHD now

guys, how does p42x28k compared to LG 42PQ30R?
lifespan? after sales support? PQ? value for money?

Yesterday i was looking at both P42X28K beside 42PQ30R, LG has got a brighter colors, not tooo sure about moving pictures coz the display contents was from LG and it seems to be focusing on showing off its vivid colors. However when i check at the back of both panels, realised that LG has got additional 4  more AV inputs (16) compared to Panny (12)... also LG has got a more appealing universal USB port compared to the SD card on Panny...

Personally i prefer the brand of Panny over LG for trust and reputation established over the years... not sure whether are they stil that good? or LG has now catch up, or even overtaken Panny?
