Tried 2 shops in Bintulu for my 50V20 but one towkay came back stating no stock is available AND a new model will be released in July ! What new model is that ? Z ?

Getting frustrated with my intended purchase, none is available here. Maybe I should listen to my home minister. Wait till FIFA is over, they will come out with some sales promotional packages (free gifts etc) and stock should be more readily available then.

Yes, Carrefour is selling P50X20K and P42X20K while the X28K are sold in other electrical shops.
Just need to know are there any difference between the 2 models.

I always though getting a TV is like the the normal plug & play type. Did not know there are so many things to know and do (e.g. the first 200 hrs). Thanks for sharing.

Some questions below which I hope the Sifus can help :

a.  Why didn't the plasma manufacturer do the first 200 hrs and the calibration at the factories before selling the plasma to customers ? Time and electricity at the manufacturer's expense but a happy customer is a loyal customer, especially in competition with LED. Maybe different people have different visual liking ?

b. after the first 200 hrs in Cinema mode, I assume that I can switch to other mode. Right ?

c. as (b) above, I can increase the settings (brightness etc) after the first 200 hrs. Right ?

d.  Should it be continuous 200 hrs or multiples of x hrs to make up to 200 hours ? Say, 5 hrs per day for 40 days ?

While I never measured the 42" widescreen, I did measure the 46" widescreen and for displaying picture in 4:3 ratio (mainly SD program and not wanting to make people look fat), it is only the same size as a 33" CRT.

So for 42" vs 29" CRT　ｏｎ　４：３　ｒａｔｉｏ，Ｉ　ｄｏｕｂｔ　ｔｈｅｒｅ　ｉｓ　ｍｕｃｈ　ｄｉｆｆｅｒｅｎｔ．

Where is the INFO button? I'm using V series as well but there is no info button except for RECALL. Two hours I been staring at my remote control looking for the INFO button.

Saw in the newspaper a Panasonic sale package for U20K, X20K but NO V20K ! Same thing in their package a few months ago. Why no special offer for V20K ? Selling too well ?

Do you know whether one can buy the BD45 only for RM399?

Via a good friend's help, learnt about the special offer from SenQ for 50V20K at RM 4999 with 2+1 yrs warranty and RM 399 for BD45 with 1+1 yrs warranty. Ordered one set today. Think this is a good deal. Can't wait to get them at the end of the month.

Hope that BD45 can play Uncle Ho's DVD/bluray discs.

Will check with Panasonic on whether they will accept the warranty for 4 & 5 th years as the 3rd yr is under SenQ.

Are all HDMI cables about the same quality ? If not, any type/brand I should get ?

the salesman show me a hot selling model Panasonic.. TH-L42S20K
According to him this model is not yet launched officially and the price is RM 2999..however it will be launched in april 2011 and the price will be RM3999..

So just drop by here for some advise or suggestion.. thanks..

Still in the low setting mode for my V20K for the 1st 200 hrs. So far, impressed with the TV.

Like to confirm that after the first 200 hrs at low settings, I can then go for the higher settings without burning images onto the screen. Right ?

P/S  Just to share a learning here. After I set up my new TV onto ASTRO, noted that I got frequent reception interruptions, thinking it was either bad weather or a mouse has "eaten" part of the antenna cable. Neither one. Cause of the problem was the palm tree I have next to the receiver was getting in the way. Wife noted that and remove the branch. Now, no more interruptions and happy with the image quality. Enjoying watching movies etc now on the bigger screen !
