Been using this P42X28K for more than a week now. So far, satisfied with the Picture Quality and overall features for this price. The swivel stand do come handy at times.
*
how much did you pay for P42X28K? any other free gifts? does it comes with 3 years warranty from panny?

since this model is not Full HD, hv you tried watching BD? if yes, how was th PQ when playing BD? pls share as i am also kind of interested in this model. thanks!

QUOTE(greyshadow @ Apr 13 2010, 04:33 PM)
was looking for a 42" fullHD plasma, was hoping they'll bring in S20 series

but crap... no new S20 for M'sia market, V series will be too expensive for me I guess...

I guess I'll settle for the old S10 then, time to squeeze my supplier for cheaper S10 (last he quoted me 2.5k b4 the announcement of the new viera line) tongue.gif
*
S10K still got stock nowadays? hard to find since it has been discontinued.

yeah, why no new model S20K FHD. the new U series entry level FHD must be over my budget since the smallest screen size would be 46".......

if the price for 46" is below 3k excluding free gift, i'm sure you'll grab one brows.gif
*
46" U series below RM3k?? any insider news?? if possible, i will grab one for sure as i am considering FHD plasma below RM3K and if it is 46", even better biggrin.gif

but i doubt.........

Holy crap. thank god i read your post. for some reasons i thought the 28K was FULL HD and i almost paid 2250 for it just now....
*
if X28K is FHD, I would have bought it when it was available at my area last week. yes, X28K IS NOT FHD. it is only HD ready!

should pay attention to U series at least...

2010 new model U series is an entry level FHD. Guess it's only available for 46" and 50" size (correct me if i'm wrong). price should be cheaper than V series.

anyone know when it will be available and its price?

for entry level 42" plasma tv, can you guys comment the below 3 models and which one is better in terms of pic quality and features? they are all about the same price.

panasonic p42x28k (sd card slot)
samsung ps42c451 (usb plays lots of video formats, optical audio output)
lg 42pj350r (usb support video but not rmbv file)

in terms of feature, i guess samsung is no 1 and panny looks nothing special...

comment pls.

I think it may be too early to make any recommendation. Our forum experts had not had a chance to preview them yet as the models are just starting to be available.

So, trust your own eyes for the moment.

At Homedec, price was RM4999 with BD player + HDMI cable + digital photo frame

Forumer iamsobloodysick offered RM4799 (should come with same freebies but not sure).

I just called Panashop in Penang and they said they never heard about U series FHD 42" for Plasma, only for LCD. They gone through product launch seminar and they mentioned that the ONLY 42" FHD for plasma is V series.
