Yeah, intro offer is a pretty good deal for anyone to get started with a BD player and a HDTV. However, I did not get to see and play around with a unit as they were being sent out today to the stores. I did get a view on a couple of sets that are just coming in (Sammy C650 plasma, LG plasma, Sammy 3D LED backlit, the Panny X28 series and the Sony LED backlit LCDs as well). I really like the features that the included in the Sammy plasma (10point greyscale and full 3D CMS!) , they are truly reference class in terms of calibration controls.

BTW the Sammy 50C650 was priced at RM5K (this is not discounted, possible to knock off a little more)

One thing to note though, most if not all the sets had better Anti Reflection Coatings compared to the X28!

Do you mean that the X28 has bad reflection ?

If its HD ready for THP42X28K
I wonder why the Specs only says support resolution minimum 720 not even 720p ? Hmmmm....

I need a confirmation on this whether it is HD Ready or Not even HD Ready for this model.

http://www.panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9124/Spec

Applicable Scanning Format
Full HD 1125 (1080)/50i, 1125 (1080)/60i, 1125 (1080)/24p (HDMI only), 1125 (1080)/50p (HDMI only), 1125 (1080)/60p (HDMI only)
HD 750 (720)/50p, 750 (720)/60p

Will be buying this model end month

well for those with 1024 X 768 or 1366 x 768 with HD Ready means they can accept any input format up to 1080p... but they are scaling those signal back to their native resolution b4 they display it out...
for real Full HD it's display panel needs to be 1920 x 1080 in native resolution...

Just like LCD Monitor that we have in the market every one of it has their own NATIVE resolution, when you set ur display resolution 1366x768 and the signal goes to a 1366 x 768 panel it will be sharp and nice but if you sent the signal to a 1920 x 1080 panel it will has blur effect coz the monitor will adjust the image to be display out from the panel to their native resolution... try that in ur LCD Monitor if you have one see whether the native resolution or the non-native resolution will get sharper image smile.gif

Thanks for the advise meaning the image is stretch to the point if the movie is 1080 playing on 1024X768 ?
