looks like the general consensus is if its for Astro, the plasma is the best and Panny's the best bang for the buck...

2 novice questions

-even if its for Astro HD viewing, plasma still better buy?

-what if i plan to watch loads of mkv files? still plasma?

posted this on other threads but no reply yet...realised that here got lots of sifu hanging around...so i am reposting here...hope dont mind


been a while since i left this forum...was into it about a year half ago...that time interested in flatscreen but didnt jump into it...
at that time...the general view was for Astro, go for Panny plasma...best value..

but today, got Astro HD, got LED LCD...

my itch is back again and will need some time to read all the threads...

okay..so for Astro HD and mostly mkv files....is it still Plasma rules? or the LED-LCD tv is more impressive...or even LCD?
