yah I saw the display at Carrefour Tun Hussein Onn but the demo was blu-ray source - so dun main main - bring home play DVD and standard def tv series - die ... anyway i also saw the "made in singapore" logo plastered at the back of the panel.

just a quick question for all of you.. did you guys really overlooked the fact that Panasonic's 2010 models (non full HD models) have downgraded native resolution and lower black level in the form of gradation therefore cheaper price? The 2010 panels have 4,096 equivalent steps of gradation where as the 2009 equavalent models have 5,120 equivalent steps of gradation. The new models however have better pc signal support.

The gen 13, 2010 panels can support full hd pc signals. Meaning, if you connect your HTPC to it, your computer can detect the panel as full hd and allow you to set your computer resolution to full hd. My windows 7 only allow me to set my desktop to 720p as per my sharp LCD TV which is a 720p panel.

Non Full HD - 2010 models

VIERA TH-P50C10K - http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/7937/Spec - Resolution: 1,049,088 (1,366 x 768) pixels

42"

VIERA TH-P42X10K - http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/7775/Spec - Resolution: 786,432 (1,024 x 768) pixels
VIERA TH-P42C10K - http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/7915/Spec - Resolution: 786,432 (1,024 x 768) pixels

and if there is any Panasonic staffs watching this thread -- WAKE UP AND CORRECT THE FOLLOWING!!!! doh.gif doh.gif
http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9238/Feat

http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9238/Feat - 4,096 step of Gradation
http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9238/Spec - 6,144 steps of gradation

So which is correct?

**************************************

TAKE NOTE of the "Moving picture lines" difference between the FULL HD Neo plasma/ U model and 2009 model

Neo Plasma = 1080 lines = http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9237/Spec
U Full HD model = 900 lines = http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/9238/Spec
2009 FULL HD model = 1080 lines = http://panasonic.com.my/web/pid/7941/Spec (VIERA TH-P50S10K)

so pick your poisons peeps.... i wonder how low 42" Neo plasma price will drop. 50" neo plasma - out of budget blush.gif blush.gif -- so peeps keep on buying the neo plasma models so that Panasonic and produce more - hence reduce the cost and pass the saving to consumers wub.gif wub.gif thanx wub.gif wub.gif
