Hey this happened to my unit too! The line appeared was below not above! Then after that I on off the TV its gone edi.. yours permanent?  doh.gif  I tot it was my TVIX but kacau..
*
Lucky you, yours disappeared but mine it is still there.
If you can see my attachment there are two horizontal lines, one at the top (blue and green) and the other one near to bottom (more like a bar) which is in red and black. Will be calling Pana service tomorrow.

Those are the days Panasonic/National gave us long lasting product. My Pana Fridge repaired twice and now the TV...sigh sad.gif

Are the lines still there after you try changing the AV input?

Maybe it's the cables?  hmm.gif

complaint to Panasonic, no guessing. Could be striked by lightning and panel problem.

Added on December 1, 2010, 12:10 amhappened to a couple of LCD before and turned out to be panel problem...Some are vertical and some are horizontal lines..

Will just do that and see what they have to say about it.

Thx for all the feedback! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hey Rook,

It's an internal circuit that connect the panel. I had this when I first bought the X series. Had the same lines on to of the panel when first turned on.

Called Panasonic, they came looked at it and replaced it with a new unit after two days.

Suggest you get them over to take a look.

Nice meeting another MU Fan.
Called up Pana Srvc Ctr this morning and a guy came in the evening.
The moment he saw the problem he said it is due to some circuit board issue.
Snapped some photo and he said will be back in a couple of days like what you have mentioned.
By the way he advise me take EWP (Extended Warranty) just in case another problem to crop up in the future........talking about flimsy doh.gif

I bliv so.. its got to do with HDMI cable.. now my unit seems ok. Using the cheapo HDMI cable from Tesco.
*
It got nothing to do with HDMI cable or even speakers beside the TV but the A board kong already.

The Pana guys came and changed the board.
Noticed that the screen was manufactured in Japan, the unit was assembled in Singapore and the A board came from Vietnam.
Probably I could be the unlucky one to get the defect batch of A board.
According to the service guy I'm not the first one but in fact others had the same issue too. So Plasma owners be .............heheheee
