Hi Guys,
I have ordered Panasonic VIERA TH-P42X28K. But then, for the same price, I can get Samsung PS42C430. Are they equally good? Hope I have made the right choice... Need opinion from sifus... |

QUOTE(saigetsu @ Sep 15 2010, 12:14 AM) i want to buy plasma or lcd for my ps3. so far for value of money panasonic offer a great deal. 2100 can get 42 inch latest model with latest feature. but somehow as per sony warning label at the blue ray disc game said that ps3 gaming can cause burn image to plasma tv.. so... any recommendation for me any lcd tv ranging 2100 below that offer a great deal interm of features VIERA TH-P42X28K can get below RM2k now. |

QUOTE(refnulf @ Sep 18 2010, 09:26 PM) Do you mean they've giving the 3 years extension free? Because if not, any shop selling the tv offers the 3 years for a price (they'll register it for you). Yes, only for today. They even have additional tent (outside the shop) with lucky draws and clown doing tricks for customer. This post has been edited by RayKazansky: Sep 19 2010, 12:46 AM |

QUOTE(nabelon @ Sep 19 2010, 10:34 PM) I took 2 units... one for myself and another for bro-in-law.My friend's 50" Sammy Plasma already with 1 HDMI input down. He's getting the technician to come over to replace the board. Hopefully pana wont suffer the same thing and that is why i needed the 3 yr additional. |

Guys, what is the recommended operation/settings of the plasma once I start using it for the first 200 hours? I can't remember the guidelines as I have read before somewhere...

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Sep 24 2010, 05:38 PM) U're confused. If u r using the break in dvd, then crank up the contrast (say 80) and colour (70). Leave brightness at default. Use normal mode. Make sure the colours fill the screen in full screen mode. Sifu,When u r not using the break in dvd, then use the settings that you mentioned, contrast -20, brightness -20, colour low... After 200hrs u can move the contrast back to 50 in cinema mode and colour back to 47 or so. Of course u can change to ur liking or get it calibrated. Since i have no DVD, does this settings mentioned by you all can be applied for my VIERA TH-P42X28K ? |

QUOTE(ks98 @ Oct 3 2010, 03:47 PM) just bought my first 42" plasma TV, Panasonic TH-P42X28K. I tried to read every post over here but it's too long for me to finish it. I have no time (need to get TV cabinet ready, cables, etc) now as just can't wait to power up my TV when it arrives. Maybe you can check page 98 of this thread?I know there is burn-in issue on plasma TV and most ppl recommend run-in the TV at the first 100 - 200 hours. But, looks like the method differs from ppl to ppl... I don't have all the so called break-in slide, can i just open a movie then just let the TV operates day and night? Of course, with low contrast and low brightness setting (around 30% - 40%)... is this considered ok? |

QUOTE(ikan_semilang @ Oct 7 2010, 11:06 AM) I'm found some shop selling model TH-P42X28K at Kuantan around RM1999 - RM2199... Correct, not worth it.Even Panasonic dealers also selling Mega Pertama Electronics Trading - RM2199 Syarikat Wei Heng Letrik Sdn Bhd - RM1999 For extended warranty 3 years - RM250 Anybody know at Kuantan which shop selling more cheaper than that price? At KL found some shop selling RM1949, isn't worth to travelling because that price? I bought mine 2050 with 5 years (3 yrs extended) @ hometown during Panny carnival. Luckily, bro-in-law free to bring it over to PJ for me. Otherwise, I still prefer to buy from nearby shop. |
