due to panasonic plasma having problem rendering 50Hz signal, why people don't simply return their HDTV and ask for their money back

any HDTV should have enough computing power inside to process maximum resolution video signals and display them smoothly at the rated 50/60 fps
astro SD decoder video output is 576i astro byond: 576i(SD), 720p(HD), 1080i(HD) FTA satellite TV: 576i(PAL SD), 480i(NTSC SD), 720p(HD), 1080i(HD) |

byond box does not indicate the original channel resolution, you can only find out the info from channel's official website
byond box will convert any HD channel it received to a final resolution according to box's setting 1080p stelliteTV will not appear in the next few years unless there is a quantum leap in signal compression technology Added on November 8, 2010, 4:25 pm QUOTE(xsi @ Nov 8 2010, 04:18 PM) what does this mean actually..? moving picture resolution i.e. we're not getting 1080 display for 1080 video? u20's computing power is crippled a bit, ie using less powerful CPU, may be to save cost This post has been edited by neb: Nov 8 2010, 04:25 PM |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Nov 8 2010, 04:44 PM) So with USB port built-in onto the TV, you do not need computer or standalone media player? If so, then USB port does becomes highly desirable. media players especially those with 1073+ chipset can support more video codec, and better sound support if connected through modern AVRv20 can support only limited movie file format, I read samsung HDTV got better support for movie file than panasonic ultimately buying full HDTV or not depend on your budget and your eyes, read reviews from the net, go to the shop and see the screen for yourself, higher end model usually got added features, such as better anti-refelction coating on the glass panel the benefit of full HDTV is that it is capable of de-interlace 1080i to 1080p, x20 series can't do that This post has been edited by neb: Nov 8 2010, 06:09 PM |

panasonic is so stingy, only giving 1 pair of 3D glasses
one person can watch 3D, the less will have to queue |

QUOTE(paskal @ Jan 9 2011, 06:21 AM) the GT30 is a 3D plasma. with the current pricing that panasonic is implementing for their malaysian set, hard to believe a 3D capable GT30 would come close to the (current) non 3D capable V20. 3D plasma price for last year's series, I think they are clearing stock make way for this year's seriesi reckon the current 50" VT20 is selling for how much currently? RM15k? sounds like impossible for another 50" 3D capable set to sell at 1/3 of the current price. about effect on children eyes by watching 3D, source:NYT QUOTE Dr. David Hunter, professor of ophthalmology at Harvard University and ophthalmologist-in-chief at Children’s Hospital Boston, added that there appeared to be "scant evidence" that 3D image technology-- which is appearing in theaters, HDTVs, Blu-ray players and even the PlayStation 3-- can hurt eye development. The only real possible side-effect from watching 3D movies or playing a 3D games would be fatigue from the brain trying to "process a ton of information."
