Even for an Eco TV it still uses quite a bit more power than LCD rivals
Extra 3D glasses are expensive

it won't be as good as krp-500 but i'm sure it's not twice as good than v50 either. Taking into account that krp500 cost twice as much

Just that both specs seems the same except for the 3D and THX

today i compared U50 and X50 side by side (well one on top and on the bottom) at HN
not much difference.....

both was playing the same football video - the HD panasonic demo that they always play
dont worry about what i said. my eyes are not as good as anfieldude's - better wait for his review

so its not only me

for rm20 extra a month, get byond of course.
at least do some justice to your new plasma TV

good price really? i was hoping for like under 6k
its a 2k jump from the U50

now i wonder how much is the Z1. I remember seeing some crazy price like 20k above but wonder what is it now. if drop to 6k i might consider that instead just for the bigger size

I can fully understand what you are saying. You know us consumers we always want good and cheap haha...but you are right, in the end, quality will go down. In this case I'm merely looking for the best deal. If I know that this is a reasonable price to pay, I will. I don't want to find out later that everyone else bought theirs for 1k less and with gifts thrown in that's all. I'm also wondering if this is the "intro price" or can I get this or cheaper down the road. I'm not in a hurry but if the price is good I will buy

LED backlit LCD is very nice if you play HD source
if SD, the picture still cant beat Plasma...imho

later end of the year, i think you will see more flouro backlit LCD phasing out to be replaced by LED backlit.

going digital doesnt mean anything
anyway to answer your question, both SD and HD plays better on a plasma period
