QUOTE(MNet @ Jan 28 2011, 09:51 AM) ALAQAR is not diversity all invest in hospital. IMHO if kpj gone defaults its rentals means biz no good or something must be wrong. i do not think johor corp cannot handle this cash cow!! kpj dunwan to rent from alaqar can find others alternative like builts its own hospital building but nearly all the properties in alaqar was built by kpj before they sold to alaqar ..... so does'nt make any sense for kpj to defaults coz kpj itself also owns a biggest portions of alaqar ...... right to left pockets only.... like sis sharesa said probably the sell down of alaqar was due to jcorp need to paid debt so need cash ...... i might be wrong and i wish it wont happen too cause i have this reits..... cheers what if healtcare industry not perform? All egg in same basket too risky |

QUOTE(Bonescythe @ Feb 12 2011, 03:04 PM) I am going to get some new REITs soon.. stareit is quite laggard atm so as the yields but maybe the new injections of properties was not completed yet so not many investors was interested on it and maybe after the exercise was completed only can have a higher payout. just my view but above reason may make it more interesting at least for me. ARreit is a good for lowest risk coz most of the properties was leased by GLC linked company...... but i really feel this year will have another reit listed on bursa. Anyone had any opinion on Arreit vs Stareit? What will be their next 1 year outlook? |

QUOTE(taufufa @ Mar 16 2011, 10:04 PM) yeah actually i was thinking about this too. ok, since reits will be given dividend twice or more annually. i have a question, if let say i bought it next month and may they announce the dividend yield, will i get my full dividend? or the dividend model distribution like fd need to wait at least for a year. just look at the ex-date if the date is Mar 18 2011 means today is the last day to hold, on Mar 18 2011 or onward u can sell if u want and still will get the divvy but the price will be adjusted accordingly to the divvy pay out.today 1.00 ex-date Mar 18 2011 today date Mar 17 2011 DPU (divviden per unit) 0.02 tomorrow 0.98 so it's not advisable to sell right after ex-date coz all reits divvy have to deduct 10% withholding tax. |

QUOTE(pisces88 @ Apr 14 2011, 04:56 PM) Hi im very new to REIT. some silly questions: Q1 - yes it's like normal shares can trades, the price fluatate as the shares price but this is dividen play type (capital growth very slow) the divvy depends to the company performance 1) is REIT like normal share? meaning when it goes down ur capital will be affected? or it stays throughout the lifetime like FD? 2) which local brokerage firm is recommended if i wanted to purchase REIT? 3) for other singapore's REIT, i can do it online via Philip securities right? is it reliable? Q2 - all local licensed brokerage firms can trades REIT's. for further understanding u are encourage to look at this site http://mreit.reitdata.com/ for SG reits try http://reitdata.com/ ...... the brokerage will be different for foreign shares (if u'r using local brokerage firms) hope this can helps |
