I just leave it standby 24/7. Only unplug if I go to vacation or balik kampung
I thinks almost 2 years already i leave it 24/7 standby. So far no problem.

iF U unplug then make sure it don't turn into an ant colony, because they will make electronic stuff not function, very rare to happen though

I leave it whole day on standby until late at nite before i go to sleep then switch off, even heavy rain or lighting same thing, switch off late nite, so far so many years so good. Maybe i am lucky

I think switching on and off wall plug will cause more surge to the TV when you're switching on the TV.. just my guess...

little built-in power transformer will help for this problem

put a good surge protector enuf ledi... no nid switch on switch off
