QUOTE(mhn21 @ Nov 14 2006, 11:29 AM) I've got a large tube that i got from HUM... Ehh, you know the one that is used with the machine for bringing the heart to beat again when there is no heart beat? Ala, the maching that gave an electric shock straight on a person's chest? That machine have to be used with the dielectric grease you know... I've got one large tube [The tube is as large as the largest tube of Colgate paste] Hehehe... |

Dielectric grease, easier to get small tubes from mechanics.
It's the tune-up grease they use to connect the 'octopus' to the sparkplugs. I found a tube at ACE hardware. Used it for my sparkplugs like it's meant to be used |

ermm.. well i found it from some oversea magazine like maximumpc.. the review really good and i think we can duplicate it by do it in version.. hehe..
it uses TEC module to cool the water.. to me its a lot safer by doing that because the is no worry about condensation... but at least we can give a try... or why dont u go the their website? This post has been edited by cookietiau: May 10 2007, 02:43 PM |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ May 10 2007, 08:03 AM) apparently its good when theres not that much heat output. can go below ambient...but when u've got a lot of heat or when load, it's a different story. the peltiers cant keep up and u end up with temps higher than a good WC. we might be testing one out though, so we'll see. |

Bro's,
For proc's based on the 775 sockets, is it still necessary to fit on a cold/hot plate between the proc/peltier/waterblock or can we just slot the peltier in between the proc and waterblock? I've also seen a couple of ways to install the peltier but mostly on socket 478 procs, for 775 sockets, is it still necessary to fill the proc socket with dielectric grease? |
