Got back from signing the loan agreement, handed over my existing car registration card to the dealer (he paid the difference of the downpayment balance) and got my copy of the car allocation details - SA promised by Wed or Thurs next week will get the car out but I have to get the car number this week from JPJ and hand over the documents to him.
Thinking twice whether to hold on doing the tinting at RM900 until later if I feel the car is really hot under the sun.

QUOTE(Blinque @ Mar 22 2010, 04:39 PM) I'm not sure, base on my SA info they're only processing about 2 cars every hour. Not sure how accurate that info is, but guess I have no choice but to trust him. His info so far has been quite accurate. Just FYI, WTS number will be open for registration on Thursday onwards. The number I want for WTR already taken (I submitted a list of 20 nums, all taken!) Can share your beetifull numbers which are already sold - I intend to go tomorrow to buy numbers - if WTS coming on Thursday may wait till then to get triple number

did not buy the WTR 8xxx and WTR 9xxx numbers yesterday upon advise by counter - most likely tomorrow morning the WTS series is released and confirmed 210RM only for any untendered numbers -

Got my number in 1 min at the JPJ Sri Permaisuri branch at 930am today - of course I had a list of numbers which I brought, but after the second try (the other two numbers were tendered or bought earlier in the morning - I got the third option with a 9, 8 and 2 - so not so bad after all. Worst thing were the jam from USJ and also going back - took me 2 hrs traveling time to and fro combined

Added on March 25, 2010, 11:37 amJPJ cheras can buy number too...? haiyaaa... if i know i go there coz i thought wangsa maju only coz cheras at least near to my office... [/quote] Here's the map to the place - easy to find - after entering Bandar Sri Permaisuri after paying RM0.50 toll, just go straight through the first traffic light and then at the second traffic light just turn left and ahead on your right after 1 km or so you can see the 3-storey shophouses on your right - its the corner shoplot and you can't miss it - a lot of motorbikes outside and beside it is an open car park. I truly feel for the really patient 2.0 bookers who waited so long for the Forte - actually I do believe that the 1.6SX is already a good buy - I used to drive a 2.2 but in these times, technology advancement is giving us better torque output for the same cc - moreover the 2000cc road tax is 380RM while the SX is 90RM - my 2 cts - anyhow I hope all Forte 2.0 owners will get their cars soonest to make their wait worthwhile........

actually would like to know the individual steps that take place when after the car is allocated / loan approved / downpayment paid - especially the kastams, k1, edaftar, ehakmilik etc etc because I really dont understand all these mandatory things to do before we get our car

Last week when I mentioned I have paid my downpayment and loan approval, and an 1.6SX has been allocated to me with engine and chassis number with my name - I also noticed now that there are allocations in the list which are assigned to a category called consignment (maybe to dealers). And the beautiful part of this is that in this consignment list I saw a 2.0SX Spicy Red unit being assigned with chassis and engine no - and the physical location is Rantau Panjang!! allocated date 22/3/2010 so this means 2.0SX units are being allocated.
BTW there are two more Forte owners in the same list as me with the same allocation date 19 March 2010 ( a Mr E. Lim with delivery at Rawang like me and a Mr K with delivery at Gurun), sorry no full names for privacy purpose, just wondering whether they are active in this forum or not.
