i face similar issue, hang n auto close in 5800 OVI store, but got back fine after reinstall latest OVI .. i think its the bug ..

i have problem with my GPS on N97.. january is the last month it can lock place where i am, furthermore i'm at kuantan that time.. after that, it cant lock any place, wherever i am.. yesterday i went to plaza berjaya NCC to check it.. they ask me 3 hours to check, so i leave it there.. after 3 hours, i come to collect the hp, and they said they tried to reformat my phone.. i went around kl to try lock location, but still not functioning..

can you guys suggest what should i do now?

Ovi maps or Garmin? hard to say..mine also sometimes can get lock fast but sometimes not ok (longer time to lock)..so i have to enable A-GPS

Gps is a very subjective thing especially signal maybe tat time u lock u at a clear place den maybe now u at a not so good place where signal are being interfere by something

1. Goto open place / or any other place where u can spend 10 minutes on own
2. Lock the N97 using A-GPS
4. Leave the phone on table, dont hold it n dont move it ..

but my ovi store have not given me problem... wierd things... just use it awhile wanna restart thephone. ta da... hang... stupdi NCC ppl...

- apps said by aspire2oo6
- startup junks
- removed indonesian / bahasa melayu
- add little stuffs

tat means phone hangs at startup, reformat ure memory card using DOS command
