arsenal seems to be the favourites now.
they have the easiest run in and we must win against liverpool, chelsea and city. chelsea also need to face us and liverpool.
real tough...it will be a pity if we dun win the league coz of rooney's sensational form this season.
a win against liverpool is a must, for now.

well, asnel still have 2 face spurs & man city.. hopefully they'll drp pts with these clubs.. smile.gif

what to say ... who ask united drop points against burnley in the 2nd league outing ... if that match end with draw, the 1 point gained make so much difference and important now ...

still, the title is in united hand ... win all remaining matches ... trophy remained in manchester ...

btw, lets support chelsea tonight ... if not ... they will have more rest time in the EPL matches ... the quarterfinal is sandwiched between man united v chelsea fixture ...

i guess all united fans wants the 19th title more rather then the CL ...

Retaining BPL is more important than winning CL.. What is the point of boasting european champions when not even champions of england...

They can so.. but if a team wins CL but failed miserably in BPL will be likened to a husband who is a mouse at home, but tiger outside of home.. tongue.gif

We must retain BPL.. Thats the bottom line... we have done well so far, of course some unnecessary points dropped... but we are still in it...and its us to lose... i hope we wont lose it..

lets over take the kops record one by one..we are closer to over take the bpl record from them so lets concentrate on that..since we are 2 cups away in cl..

win the league this season and i couldnt bother if we lose it next season if it means that we could win the cl..just as long we over take their record, its all good for me..

but if we could manage to win both, it will be a bonus to us..not gonna be surprise if we can do it..this team is capable enough plus with the additional team member come in the summer..

overtaking their record is 1 thing.. theres another record if we can win the league.. something that has never ever happen in the history of english football..

champions for 4 consecutive seasons.. even lpool didnt manage that during their heydays (70's & 80's)

so if we can win the bpl this season, that'll b 2 records in 1 season.. notworthy.gif

Wayne can surpass Ronaldo

QUOTE
Former Reds striker Andrew Cole reckons Wayne Rooney has every chance of bettering Cristiano Ronaldo’s 42-goal haul of two seasons ago.

Rooney’s well-taken brace against Fulham on Sunday took him to 32 for the season and he has a possible 13 more games in which to overhaul the Portuguese winger's 2007/08 tally.

Cole believes the mark won’t be at the forefront of Rooney’s mind, but that the striker is now in a great position to achieve a feat which seemed improbable only a few weeks ago.

“Wayne’s priority will be trying to win the Premier League again, and to fire United to another European Cup, so it won’t be top of his agenda,” Cole told ManUtd.com.

“But there are eight league games to go and if he keeps scoring at his current rate, he’s got a great chance.”

Rooney has hit 24 goals in the last 22 games of United’s three-pronged trophy assault. And as a former striker himself, it’s apparent to Cole that the Reds’ number 10 is playing with supreme confidence – an ominous sign for any opposition defence.

Cole said: “It’s hard to know what else to say about the boy! He must go out there every game, look at who he’s up against and believe he has a good chance of scoring.

“It’s great to go into games thinking that, because football is all about confidence, especially for strikers.

“He’s playing some great football and has been very consistent. He’s in a fantastic vein of form and long may it continue.”

With only two points separating the top three, it’s shaping up to be the a thrilling finish to the title race. But Cole believes United’s Premier League pedigree could give the champions the edge over Chelsea and Arsenal.

“It’s always important to have experience of title races, because it feels like familiar ground,” Cole added. “Mentally and physically you know what it’s going to take out of you.

“United’s players definitely thrive on the pressure – that’s why they are playing at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"The title race is hotting up and could go down to the wire, but I think United have more than enough in the locker to go on and win it.”

Park makes his mark

QUOTE
Ji-sung Park is hitting top form at the right time of the season, as United head for the final straight with two trophies still up for grabs.

The winger has had his fair share of injury problems in his Old Trafford career, including a short spell on the sidelines this term with a recurrence of the knee injury which kept him out for nine months in 2007.

But recently he’s been at his ubiquitous best, with a goal at Arsenal, two sterling displays against AC Milan and a livewire 15-minute cameo in Sunday’s win over Fulham.

The 29-year-old told ManUtd.kr: “I’m very happy with my current form but want to keep improving between now and the end of the season.

"At the start of the season I was injured and missed a few games, but the coaching staff gave me some programmes to improve my fitness. Since then I’ve played more and more games, so I’ve had more chances to perform well."

Park says the irresistible current form of Wayne Rooney has come as no surprise to his team-mates, because they see what he’s capable of on the training field every day.

“He has great talent, and for a while people have been expecting him to show that he’s one of the best players in the world,” Park added.

“He’s scored a lot of goals this season, but we’ve known for some time that he’s capable of doing that. It’s not a surprise. Before he was young and needed experience; now he has grown up and everyone can see his ability.”
