QUOTE(K2002 @ Apr 7 2010, 10:52 PM) i dunno if this will work... something that i think/imagine off...any possible way to make magnet stronger? can i use a stronger magnet stick at my motor so that the weaker magnet inside the motor can harness the energy of stronger magnet turn into their strong magnetic field?? will stronger magnet have any tendencies to produce a faster speed? Even if the commutator is still the same amount of coil..example hyperdash.. cause we cannot open up the motor anyway to give more magnet power to my hyper dash motor... a motor which is properly run in can be super too. Added on April 7, 2010, 11:21 pm QUOTE(lolhalol @ Apr 7 2010, 11:01 PM) wooo. nice fmx.. .. how does it perform? nice at the hump section? cover pun stylo... haha the cover nightrage seem to be compatible with the car. kecik tried putting on brocken g cover but tak berjaya. fmx i think its like super x but with characteristics of FM(more weight infront). quite fast oso....can play with MS no problem. the chassis flex of the super x seems to absorb the impact from the jumps like super x lah. but the rigidity of the chassis like crap la. the nose of the fmx senang patah. just now change chassis on the spot. came with fmxx, went back with fmx.anyway how ur ms perform? i tested the thin tires on vschassis the other day. VERY suitable for this track imo, no need so much damper to stop bouncing. the track now i think can clear without dampers easily too. very very high speed. i was shocked la to see the car go when i first put it on the track. IMHO, since u took the risk to push the car to the limits...i think ure also prepared to bear the consequences lah. if not just play stock motor and stay on the safe side i guess.
MS PRO pergi auto pay ada chance of survival. tapi old chassis jangan harap la. kalau orang pijak bengkok tadahal la bang. jangan kereta bersepah pastu hilang ball bearing terutama kawan kawan yang pakai AO620, itu pening. hahaha Added on April 8, 2010, 1:08 am QUOTE(rxecret7 @ Apr 8 2010, 12:58 AM) broo...maksud aq bukan penghadang pada track.. Oh... itu special untuk race day saja bang. penghadang tu kena angkat dari tempat budak main RC kat luar TUcontohnye buat dekat seat 2 da cukup utk block mini 4wd drp klua, mcm jepun buat..x la susah nk kejar klau trlepas, klau i jumpe picture dye i upload... QUOTE(ToMatoK_eju @ Apr 8 2010, 03:45 PM) vs is not new also, think back in early 2000 allready on sale. i use to follow some hong kong guys mod to reverse vs and reverse super-x. super-x have to problem to change to from motor but fs,i have to open the engine and put it the other way. i follow their steps and i did work but my problem was the parts and i have to fully mod the top cover. and dunno why, after the mod,the gear box always make noise. kitorang modified sikit chassis supaya boleh letak battery terbalik. so motor pun gerak terbalik. Added on April 8, 2010, 3:47 pmand the car look weird so far kitorang dah barai kan 2 super xx dan 2 super x untuk projek FMX. tapi barai bukan sebab potong potong modified....sebab keluar track pergi autopay Sedikit sebanyak tentang FMX kami. ha macam ni je terbalik kan bateri. hah sambungkan bumper n-02 kat sini boleh juga kalau nak modified sikit gear oren dengan prop shaft tu. skim sikit supaya dia bergerak dengan lancar ta da! setup roller boleh ikut citarasa sendiri |

QUOTE(Beans @ Apr 10 2010, 12:54 PM) Haixx, I have spent around one hour since just now to polish my high grade rims with brasso. But I end up by forming black stuff on it instead of a clear shiny surface. Any guide guys? thanks. kau gosok ke tak???? kalau kau sapu je memang tak jadi bai. sapu, pastu gosok sampai kilat. brasso tak cun, pakai autosolThis post has been edited by choycp: Apr 10 2010, 05:49 PM |

QUOTE(K2002 @ Apr 12 2010, 08:39 AM) So the winner is bobby? Congrats! yesterday a bit tired but fun. try all ways to slow down car but still jump out of track. what kind of setup for the track yesterday? 4 mass dampers heavy or 6 mass dampers? any rubber brake? front only or back only. Can bobby share your car setup? bobby glance at track already know the setting. hehehe.. I notice the track yesterday can go very fast. but i try to slow it down using old battery still cannot make it stay on track. after the jump and then corner i am unable to make it all the time. i already put four rollers in front but still cannot get a proper grip on track. How u guys modify your car? Just a glance on what is the track setup will have a good setup? or usually try an error until the car get the fastest timing and still stays on the track? More uphill need brake in-front or more downhill need brake at the back? meanwhile i think u can get some ideas here hope it helps lah abit here and there This post has been edited by choycp: Apr 12 2010, 12:16 PM |

QUOTE(junichi_nonis @ Apr 12 2010, 09:51 PM) nice car choy and bobby.. but i hav a question, i remember reading sumwher in V7 tat hanging damper no longer applicable this yr onwards.. correct/enlighten me if im wrong as i hav been away for quite sum time thou.. thanks in advance.. tu la kau...dah lama tak datang racenway, congrats to all winners especially bobby.. apparently kat japan there are winners still using that setup. pastu david pun kata boleh Added on April 13, 2010, 8:37 am QUOTE(ToMatoK_eju @ Apr 12 2010, 11:11 PM) yeap. i borong what ever i can. tapi tak cukup gak. so,today on the mission again, cari part tamiya. hari ni gerak toycity 101,mines,klcc and kedai tamiya lama kat kajang. guess i jumpa apa? the remaining of old stocks toycity 101 ngan mines. kat kajang tinggal beberapa part tamiya, yang lain daisheng nyer. pastu, dpat borong cover clear winning bird ngan astute. last-last,balik gak kat TU tadi beli avante ngan hyper dash pro. bateri oxyride tadi ada nampak kat ocean plaza warisan. harga tak payah citer. baik beli rechargeable. clear cover ko dapat tu cun ah. old skool item dan rare kot. dgr citer kat mines ada lap timer. still ada ke? aku suggest ko stick dengan TU je cari barang. most of the time the parts they stock up is more than enough to build a competition ready car. plus since we are going to race at TU anyway, i think its good practice to pledge our loyalty to them with regards to our mini4wd purchases wherever possible. to show support lah This post has been edited by choycp: Apr 13 2010, 08:39 AM |

QUOTE(Beans @ Apr 14 2010, 07:08 PM) http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=15375 if u want to dip the motor in oil, do it lah. i suppose thats just to keep the inner parts of the motor from corrosion. i do it sometimes too by injecting oil thru the holes at the motor. well i do that if im not using the motor lah. same concept goes to ball bearings. oil it to keep it. those posts on motor care i assume is for R/C motors which are larger and more expensive. small cheap motor like hyperdash usually pakai buang je. Guys, the link above explains that hyper dash pro motor has silver carbon brushes... Well, I get a little confused over this statement and I can't figure out whether it means silver-plated carbon brushes or the brushes themselves are silver metal... ^^ Added on April 14, 2010, 7:12 pmand one more thing is about the maintenance. Basically how can we maintain it? Since we are not allowed to use "opened" or modified motors during competition, is there any ways to maintain it? Previously I've read a few posts regarding motor care, something like dipping the inner part of the motor into oil and dried it....then reinsert back again, but is there any other method that need not have the motor opened? if u use the motor regularly, the carbon brushes does not last forever. when the brushes start to wear and tear, so does the performance of the motor. pretty much just common sense there. for me, i try my best to replace my motor at least once a month depending on my budget etc. running in the motor is required to get maximum performance out of motors with carbon brushes. rationale is to set the brushes nicely on the commutators. theres like a million ways to run in. so i leave it to u to choose which is best. i remembered when i started to ask similar questions back then. the sifus only said "run in motor ikut citarasa sendiri" (masa tu memang rasa cam sial but i learned alot lah) but whatever it is, getting the best performance out of an unopened motor IS possible. however, always remember that the speed of your car does not depend entirely on the motor but also alot of other factors like the car itself. last but not least....NO MONEY NO SPEED. |
